Noir is French for “black”. Which is fitting, considering that the natural sweetness in this espresso makes it delicious as a straight shot or Americano. That said, it is also strong enough to hold its own in a cappuccino or latte. We find that this coffee has a velvety mouthfeel, brown sugar finish, good presence in milk. Founded in 1971, Tony’s Coffee is one of Northwest’s original craft roasters. To this day, they remain independent and family-owned.

Great coffee
I’ve purchased this many times, great for my espresso machine. Highly recommend
J. Lantz –
Smooth coffee with excellent flavor.
Love this expresso but the roaster knows it is good and charges at the higher end for it. When you see their coffee on discount, it is almost never this one. Try it; you will like it if not love it like I do.

Wonderful Coffee
As noted by others, the aroma of these beans is intoxicating. Over the past few months, we have brewed delightful lattes and cappuccinos with this coffee. Rich taste but not bitter. Highly recommended.
Cameron Rose –
SO delicious.
The aroma and flavor of this coffee is beyond incredible
KENNETH DAVIS –
Very decent cup of joe
These beans do smell glorious, and they make a good cup of brewed coffee (in a regular drip coffee pot). There’s a somewhat fruity aftertaste with these beans that is not our preference, but great otherwise.

Would buy again
I have been using another brand for 3 years, decided itâs time for a change. So glad I did. Grinds well. Smooth and creamy. Excellent as a latte.
Skye and Scott Van Cleave –
Seriously good coffee!
I used to make mochas, but since limiting sugar have gone to straight espresso and milk drinks. I pull a perfect shot from Tony’s Espresso Noir every time. It’s flavorful without being bitter…great for all coffee drinks (espresso, latte, Americano, macchiato). I highly recommend Tony’s Espresso Noir Whole Bean Coffee.

Updated 2024
Update: They no longer print the roast date on the bag so you can’t tell how old the beans are. I no longer purchase these because of that.I have a Breville Barista Express and make espresso everyday. I live in downtown Seattle and have the opportunity to try different coffee from different roasters all the time. I’ve had coffee from 30-50 different roasteries in the year. When I try a roast at the coffee shop that I like, I buy a bag of beans and make it at home. This is my favorite roast for straight espresso and for lattes. The smell of the fresh beans is intoxicating and the flavor is perfect. I don’t like my espresso to have floral or citrus notes, this has neither of those. I love nutty, chocolaty and caramel notes and this roast has that.If you’re looking for the perfect latte bean, look no further.
