So I used these for 6 months with my nespressoâif you like nespresso and are looking for a bold authentic espresso this is def a great brandâ but for me I always found myself going to Starbucks whenever I could for fresh espresso. The pod platform Keurig created that nespresso also uses is great for people who donât care all that much what their coffee tastes like or who donât have time to do anything about it, but for anything more than a slightly stale shot of espresso produced very quickly, youâll want to opt for a small casabrew or some sort of actual espresso machine. But if youâre not too particular about your espresso or desperate for something closer than a k cup in a jam, Cafe La Llave pods are still closest thing I could get to fresh espresso quality and will produce a solid shot for convenience sake. And if youâre adding some kind of cream/sugar it matters even less.

Defective pods
I have been using the caffeinated version of these pods and have been happy with them. Ordered these decaf ones, and the aluminum cap breaks apart, preventing the machine from completing its brew cycle and getting the pods stuck in the chamber. Unfortunate! The caffeinated ones still work nicely, so I know it isnât the machine. Tried 2 boxes to be sure not just a funky box. Attempted to return but not eligible, and canât find a way to contact the manufacturer to let them know about the problem. Looks like another reviewer last month had similar issues. Will hope the company reaches out to me to make it right, and will update this review if they do.Update: after enough internet research we tried a deep clean of the brewing machine and got these to work. Apparently the cap foil is weaker than other pods, but if we keep it all clean of any grounds or pod bits they work fine.
