The inner strainer is nice to have. I like the feel of the cup in my hand. The handle is large enough to wrap fingerâs around. I use it without the strainer often. Itâs nice to see the tea strength. Great gift.

Making loose leaf tea is messy and tedious. These cups take all that away and make it very easy.

Bummer!!!
We love these mugs esthetically!! Unfortunately, they aren’t as useful as we hoped. The loose leaf tea, in our experience, hasn’t been contained in the strainer- which is kind of the whole point. It’s a beautiful set and we still use them, just not for smaller loose leaf tea. Better for larger leaves I would say.*Photo is an example of loose chamomile tea.

Loose lidded
These non-insulated glass mugs with diffusers and lids definitely do the job with minimal tea “sediment” getting through, sitting in the bottom of the mug.Be careful with the lids, though. Maybe mine are a fluke, but even though there’s a silicone ring on each lid, they sit very loosely on top of my mugs. They noisily wiggle around as I walk the 15 or so paces from the kitchen counter to my recliner in the living room.They brew good tea, but, unfortunately, in sub-par cups.I wouldn’t order these tea brewing mugs again and certainly wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Not right for all loose teasâ¦
These work beautifully for loose teas with larger piecesâ¦but you gotta be careful and make sure that the pieces arenât too small or they will fall right through the slits at the bottom.Unfortunately, 90% of my loose teas have loads of pieces that are small enough to slip through the slits at the bottom, but big enough that I feel them when I drink the tea.All in all, these may or may not work well for you, but theyâre pretty cute and itâs worth checking out.

This is an amazing product. Love how the defuser fits into the mug. So easy to clean and the lid acts like a wee sauce to sit your defuser. The only thing is itâs such thin glass Iâm scared to break it.
