Perfect!
Needed something to take to work that would stand out and not leave behind as I tend to rush, but that would keep my teas warm for a period of time due to my often interrupted sips. This does the job efficiently and i can have my tea, a little coffe now and then or my juice. Awesome buy!

Does the basics
2nd time trying to review this.It keeps hot drives hot for over 12 hours which is why I like it .It uses Celsius for temp so keep that in mind.Turn upside down to infuse tea at the top. I also add a bag inside the thermos for flavor.Overall, itâs decent though the temp is off sometimes but fits in the vehicle. I have no clue as to how to change batteries if the temp stops working. Anybody?

When the package arrived the box looked used and was not shrink wrapped . This was for a gift and Iâm too embarrassed to give it now . I ordered tea with this also and the shrink wrap had a hole in it that looked like someone pushed a finger through it . Dissatisfied

Genius airtight portable bottle for loose leaf tea
I’m a huge tea lover, and I hate having to settle for tea bags when I’m on the go. But I had never found a portable loose leaf bottle that was viable (either they’re glass and breakable, or they only steep tea at the very top where water barely reaches it, and you end up with the wrong proportions). As you can tell, I’m serious about tea.This portable loose leaf tea bottle is basically perfect. The SEAL is airtight. I can throw it in my work bag and not worry about spilling. The loose leaves compartment is inside the lid. At first sight I thought that’s like all the others. But wait for it! After you fill up hot water in the main compartment and screw the lid (with loose leaf) on top of it… You flip the bottle upside down!! That way the lid sits at the bottom and the tea leaves can steep properly. It’s pure genius. And since it’s airtight, no spills whatsoever. In fact, I have to give it a little shake to get the water to flow down from the main compartment into the lid. When it’s ready, flip it back up, let the water flow back down into the main compartment (again a little shake helps), and then unscrew the lid. Voilà !I get to make and carry loose leaf tea on the go. The temperature sensor is also helpful. My only wish is that it was dishwasher safe, but instead I wash it by hand and it’s worth the effort. I don’t leave the house without it!

Great Thermos
In the picture it says 48 degrees Celsius which is 118 degrees Fahrenheit. Another words it was very hot and that was about an hour after I pour my boiled tea kettle water into it. FYIâ¦in order to have the temperature displayed itâs like a swipe up or down touch not a tap.I prefer tea in bags but I wanted to dabble a little into the loose tea worldâ¦lol I tried it loose tea at home and enjoyed the experience and wanted to see if I could take it to work. This thermos was a great way for me to do that. My only complaints are that I wish the thermos was bigger to carry more tea and that there was a cup attached. Pouring the tea into another cup means another dirty dish I have to clean and doesnât make easy for travel. I mean you can drink it out of the thermos but you have to wait until it cools down a lot. Overall this is fine for me to use at work.

cool looking but kinda niche
So.. first off – that window is PP plastic and the cool temp display is only going to work for a limited amount of time before it just becomes a regular thermos with plastic window.The plastic window looks cool b/c you can see the tea.. but beyond looking cool.. I haven’t really figured out why anyone would actually put the tea leaves in the windowed area.. unless you like to chew your tea leaves?My second thought was that it allows you to remove the tea leaves after it’s properly steeped.. but then you’re also removing 1/4 of the water w/ it?Apart from me not being smart enough to figure out how to use this as effectively as just a normal thermos that keeps leaves out of your mouth.. the temp sensor works consistently so that I can gauge when it’s cool enough to drink.. and I didn’t get any leakage issues. It keeps temperature well so it’s effective as a thermos.If that PP window excites you.. at least know that this can do its primary job just fine.. I just haven’t really figured out a great reason to have my tea leaves in the windowed area other than to show off expensive teas or if you want tea leaves in your mouth with every sip.. or something? If you’re like me, they offer a full stainless one w/o the window… and you just put the tea leaves in the main compartment

The thing seals well if you do it up tightly, so after some practice, it’s not a problem. I’d suggest letting the heated air out just after the first closing, it gets quite a head of pressure up! I am seeing after a few weeks micro-fracture lines in the plastic, but it’s quite thick plastic, so I am hoping it’ll last. No issues with it really, infuses the water with the leaves fine, also keeps the liquid hot if you keep it sealed. The holes in the filter are quite small so if you give it a shake to let the really small stuff out before attaching it to the body, it really is quite good.
