High Quality
The most unbelievable coffee, especially if you grind âcoarseâ or âFrench Pressâ grind. Double-walled glass keeps coffee hot for a very long time.

I really wanted to like it.
I was using the OXO French Press and always worried every time I had to remove the glass cylinder from the base the glass would crack because like most glass fp’s, the glass is thin. Well, it finally broke when I tried to remove it from the base to clean and it shattered and glass went everywhere.Searched Amazon relentlessly for a new glass french press that would last. I recently purchased one of the best selling french presses on Amazon made of stainless steel. I am not a scientist but when you pour the hot water over the coffee in a metal fp it seems to react differently. Hard to explain, but didn’t get that creamy texture I get with a glass fp. Not sure if this is just me or if anyone else has had the same experience?The Sur La Table is a bit pricey but it is nice heavy glass and I am not worried at all that it will easily break. This makes it worth it in my opinion. The only minor negative is when you go to pour the coffee the lid is a bit loose and I had to hold it.Update: I really liked the press and it’s so close to being worth the cost, however, after one cycle in the dishwasher I discovered there is a small hole left from the manufacturing process that allows for water to get in between the glass. For this reason I had to change my rating from a five star to one star. Why this hole is not plugged is a real mystery to me and I cannot believe this wasn’t discovered during testing. Even if you hand wash it it could still get water inside. Until this is fixed, I can no longer recommend this as a purchase. Even one star would be hard to give with what they charge. Again, if the lid fit better and they fixed the whole in the bottom (which seems would be easy to do), it would be worth the price. So close.
