Handy kit to save money and reduce waste
I ordered the Sootozy Reusable Coffee Pods Kit to use with my Nespresso machine. Iâve never been a fan of machines that use pods due to the waste and expensive cost. However, now that I have this kit, I feel much better about using this machine. The kit works really well. I discovered that cleaning the pods is the most challenging and time consuming part of the process. However, the included blade makes it easier and once you start making your own pods with the included seals, it will become easier to clean due to the handy pull tab on the sticker. When using the stickers from this kit, all you need to do is pull them off (without needing the blade).Making new pods with the kit is easy but takes some practice to position them correctly on the pods at first. Since they are large, sometimes the stickers may overlap on a side and cover part of the barcode. Regardless, the machine still is able to read the code and it doesnât seem to cause any issues.Adding coffee grounds into the pods with the included scooper works well and the holder also does a nice job creating a good seal as you turn it. The only improvement needed is for this kit to include a tamper. You can use the scoop to tamp but it doesnât do a great job since it canât press down the sides of the pod.Overall, Iâm happy with this kit and recommend it to coffee connoisseurs interested in saving money, reducing waste, and/or prefer coffee flavors that are not available in a pod.

Save some money while drinking great coffee!
Very impressed with this bit of kit! I drink a lot of coffee and drinking Nespresso, while cheaper than the coffee shop, is not as cheap as a pot of coffee. I decided to try this out and see if I could make a decent cup or two off coffee. This includes everything you need to reuse the pods you already have, so donât throw them away just yet.It comes with a razor blade, brush, scoop, press, and the lids.I followed the included directions to prepare the pod and ground my Lavazza beans somewhere between medium and fine for the 7.77oz pod.It is very easy to cut off the old lids with the razor blade. Rinse them out, put in your grounds, seal it up, and get to brewing! I did fill the pod almost full with coffee. And used the back of the brush to push a hole in the middle, donât think this was necessary as the coffee will move around if you store the pod before drinking it.The new lid is easy to pull off after you use it. No need to cut it off. I was worried the edge of the new lid would cause an issue but it hasnât yet. Definitely worth the investment if you use your Nespresso a lot.

Seems to work
This seems to do what it’s supposed to do.BUTGetting the right amount of coffee into the pod is a bit of a game to figure out. This also is difficult if you try filling an espresso pod or a double espresso pod. It’s hard to figure out the amount of coffee without trial and error. The adhesive foil tops stick okay but you have to be sure that there are no grounds on the lip of the pod for a good adhesion. This kit seems to be okay, but honestly (after getting this one) I’ve found a few others that look like they’d do the job better. Not sure the headache of refilling these pods is worth the effort even though the pods are pricey

These worked!
I had tried other reusable pod options but they nearly ruined my machine. Decided to order these in hopes that I might be able to use coffee of my choice for less than a quarter and not break the bank. I cautiously removed the foil covering of the used pod, rinsed it out, filled it with grounds and placed the foil covering on the podâ¦wonderful cup of coffee for that middle of the afternoon last cup for the day. The delicious coffee with that fine foam topping at a fraction of the cost and reusing the original pod is better than recycling them through Nesxxxxxx. One thought about reusing podsâ¦it might be a good idea to actually wash them with detergent to make sure there is no bacteria hanging out in there.

Good
Comes with everything you need except the coffee. This worked really well. The foil stuck and the edges were smooth after I removed the pods.It is super sturdy and with normal use will probably outlast your machine.Just make sure you get the edge of the foil smooth. And some machines don’t like certain foils. You may need to play around with that.I have found that the diy foils can sometimes cause error codes. Well, the bar scanner has been the issue for me every time. Dip a qtip in rubbing alcohol and give the reader surface a quick clean. The refilled itself is fantastic and I give it a thumbs up.

High quality
I like this product because the foils are nice and heavy duty. They totally do the job and I’d get this again for sure.

Saves me so much money on my daily 3 coffees!
I love these. I reuse my pods and these aluminum lids are perfect and easy to use. They work just like a new pod. The set comes with everything needed to reuse pods, just rinse the ones you have and then refill with grounds and pop the new lid on.
