Works well though a little short
I’m a bit on the fence with this…hence the 4 stars. As far as features and execution go, this is an excellent device! The 3 different power levels really make a difference (sealing small chip bags works best on level 1 for me). The problem I had with my full size sealer was melting these smaller chip bags instead of sealing them. Also on the excellent side, is that it is battery powered : no need to go hunting for batteries, just plug in a ubiquitous usb. The hinge is sturdy, it’s easy to pick up and use and because it is so small and handy, it can be used most anywhere. That beats the full size sealer that I have to pull out of it’s storage cubby to use. It only takes a second or two to make a seal. It has a wide mesh covering the heating wire and the sealing length is 4 inches…that last measurement is where my ambivalence lies. 4 Inches will not seal a standard US mylar snack bag – that would require 5.5inches ideally. That’s not to say it can’t be done, it just requires multiple passes. Since it is so quick, multiple passes is not onerous, BUT lining up the seal tracks IS problematic. I ended up making one longer seal and then trying to have the second seal cross the first. And then I ended up trying multiple times – trying for multiple rows which is how the factory does it. Maybe 2 long passes, each starting from the opposite end with a third pass crossing in the middle? I tried pulling the bag through, but that didn’t work for me.In any event, I was able to get good seals eventually. Since I can’t test if air is leaking in making my homemade beet chips soggy, I tested the effectiveness of the device the other way: I blew air into bags, tried sealing them, then tested if I was able to squeeze air out. They do in fact, make nice little sealed pillows that don’t leak air when squeezed.

Works as described
These definitely work to seal the bag of snacks for example it is more for the 4 ounce bags of candy. For a bag of chips, for example you have to move it along so that they can seal the entire width of the bag, but that’s not really a big deal.

Way better than the tiny ones
We always try to avoid using extra zip top bags or plastic wrap or anything whenever possible and bag clips can be cumbersome, especially on small things like blocks or cheese. Originally we had gotten a small bag sealer that had maybe 1/4 inch of sealing surface, this worked well but it was awkward to hold that and move the product to seal right. And as mentioned above, we do this a lot with block of cheese since they’re already in a plastic bag.I saw the ZKiron bag sealer and loved that it was a lot bigger, rechargeable and that it sealed basically how our vacuum packer would, in one go with indication when complete. The first time using it, I was about ready to toss our old one. It sealed the cheese perfectly, had a nice beep when it was done and was really easy to use. I’m not sure how it will work on large things like bag of chips, but doing it twice across might be enough. I put some magnet on the bottom and now it live on the fridge and has been used a ton

Tiny but Mighty
After I charged it (it did not take that long), I tried it. It took me a couple of tries to get it right. The instructions are tiny and hard to read.It sealed a bag of raisings very well. Because is very small, it did not cover the entire top of the bag, so I had to seal it in 3 parts.Still, worth it. Now the bag is completely sealed, and no air will come in to dry them. Also, a clip, which I used to keep it closed before is not airtight and can become dislodged, letting air in, and raisins out. Lol.Anyway, it is worth the investment if you want to keep bags closed and use a machine that take almost no space in your kitchen.
