    A Sip of Italian Sophistication
As a coffee enthusiast who’s always on the hunt for the perfect brew, I recently decided to give Lavazza Crema E Gusto Whole Bean Coffee a try, and I must say, it’s been quite the journey for my taste buds!First ImpressionsUpon opening the 1 kg bag, I was immediately struck by the rich, inviting aroma that wafted out. The dark, oily beans promised a full-bodied experience, and I couldn’t wait to grind them up and get brewing. The Taste ExperienceFrom the very first sip, it was clear that this blend means business. The full-bodied flavor hits you right away, with a creamy texture that coats your palate. What really sets this coffee apart, though, are the intriguing spicy notes that dance on your tongue. It’s not overpowering, but rather a subtle complexity that keeps you coming back for more.VersatilityOne of the things I appreciate most about this coffee is its versatility. While it shines as an espresso, producing a beautiful crema, it’s equally at home in a variety of preparations. I’ve experimented with everything from Americanos to cappuccinos, and the Crema E Gusto holds its own every time. The BlendLavazza has done an excellent job balancing the flavors in this blend. The combination of Brazilian Arabica with African and Indonesian Robusta coffees creates a harmonious mix of sweet and spiced notes. It’s a testament to Lavazza’s 125 years of coffee-blending expertise.Value for MoneyAt first glance, the price might seem a bit steep, but when you consider the quality and quantity you’re getting, it’s actually quite reasonable. The 1 kg bag lasts a good while, even for a daily coffee drinker like myself.Room for ImprovementWhile I thoroughly enjoy this coffee, it’s worth noting that it might not be for everyone. Some may find the dark roast a bit too intense, and others might prefer a more pronounced acidity. Additionally, if you’re used to single-origin light roasts, the robustness of this blend might take some getting used to.Final ThoughtsOverall, Lavazza Crema E Gusto is a solid choice for those who appreciate a full-bodied, creamy dark roast with a hint of spice. It’s a versatile coffee that can be enjoyed throughout the day, whether you’re kickstarting your morning or winding down in the evening. Is it the best coffee I’ve ever had? Perhaps not. But it’s certainly become a staple in my kitchen, offering a reliable and enjoyable cup every time. If you’re looking to explore the world of Italian coffee, this authentic blend from Lavazza is definitely worth a try.

    Tastes Vary
In late 2022, I had one of the most amazing coffee experiences of my life at a restaurant. I asked the server about the coffee and she said it was Lavazza. I’ve since been trying to replicate that experience and the closest I’ve com is the Crema E Gusto bag of beans. I love this blend because it tastes fantastic out of the pot and still hold a pleasant flavor profile at room temperature after being held in a stainless bottle all day; a product of my work environment. This is MY experience with this coffee. YMMV.

Great for standard coffee, terrible in an espresso machine
We love this coffee in our standard drip coffee maker. It has a good robust Italian flavor. Interestingly, we have also tried this in our breville barista touch and it is far too acidic and bitter tasting to even drink. We saved this bag for our regular drip and it works great as long as you go that method of brewing.

It is a product of Italy
We like the whole beans for our expresso machine< The taste is smooth not bitter. You still get the taste of an expresso shot when you make your latte's.

The description is right – this is dark roast
Just not my cup of coffee. The pictures shows this as being medium roast, but the description that says this is dark roast is right. Although not as bad as starbucks, it has more of a burnt taste than I’m looking for or like. The espresso roast is more to my taste and liking and is a medium roasted coffee.

balanced and creamy whole bean coffee
This Lavazza style seems to be the most balanced. I you are looking for a rounded coffee with a slight natural creaminess in texture, this is the one. I also appreciate the reasonable price for these high quality beans given you are purchasing a 2.2lb bag.

This is a great whole bean coffee, beans grind perfectly. Its also put on sale every now and again which is nice in these tough times. I used to be a die hard Kicking Horse user and supporter but they gouged, gouged and gouged and I sourced this one and found it much better anyway.

This coffee comes recommended however my first cup was dreadful. I’m thinking the bean has gone bad? It’s not drinkable. Tried to contact the seller but I just keep getting the “not refundable message “ so not able to resolve this problem. Waste of money.
