Amazing product
I love this tea box! You can tell it was thoughtfully made and designed. The hinges are brilliant and hold the lid open. The wood is very nice and smells good. The pockets/dividers are perfectly designed for your typical Bigalow, Tazo,, Twining, etc. Tea bags. I was so frustrated with my boxes of tea everywhere…Then I tried to look for a decent tea box at a variety stores and they were all very cheaply made and disappointing in their design function. I saw this and read the reviews and I ordered it. I was not disappointed. The wood is not cheap and cracker thin but rather thick and the hinges look to be metal not plastic. It’s really great! I am pleasantly surprised and hope to use it for years to come.

Perfect for storing and selecting a variety of tea bags
I like it. The only quibble I have with the description is that the top and bottom pieces are not solid pine, they are plywood with pine veneer. This is not a bad thing, IMO, because plywood is far less likely to crack than a relatively thin piece of solid wood is. Fine furniture would have veneer on the edges too, and this does not – but for the price it’s still beautifully constructed of appropriate materials – they just ought not to say it’s all solid wood. I buy an assortment of tea bags, all of which come individually wrapped in foil, and this box is perfect for my purposes. I did brush a couple of coats of medicinal grade mineral oil on it to bring out the grain. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.
