Customers say

Customers find the espresso machine performs well, with the steamer working perfectly and producing great-tasting coffee, while being simple to use with easy-to-operate buttons. The build quality receives mixed feedback – while some say it will last, others report it breaking after one week. The heat level and cleaning experience are also mixed, with customers noting it heats up quickly but isn’t hot enough for espresso, and while cleaning is simple, the wand is hard to clean. Customers disagree on whether it’s worth the cost.

    I love this machine!!
I love this expresso mchine! All of it is very sturdy and mostly made of heavy metal materials. I use a great decaf expresso brand, Gavina, and I get a very nice crema. I get a great crema with other expresso brands too The Gavina brand is also enviro and coffee worker friendly. I love the red color option of this machine. It really brightens up my black and white kitchen. Also, I think the price point is great. I have a friend who uses. much more expensive machine and I think my Kitchen Aid makes better coffee. Plus I think it’s American made!

    Works just right for me…
I use this machine to make my morning double shot of espresso and I think it was a great purchase. It comes very well packaged and is a very high quality machine. Paired with a KitchenAid Empire Red Grinder, the two machines work very well together. I am getting a consistent grind and a consistent cup of espresso. The combo is easy to use and easy to keep clean. I am not a latte fan so I can’t speak to that but all the parts for making milk drinks are included. This machine is well built and should last for years of daily use. IMHO, this machine is provides very consistent results if great daily espresso is the goal.

    Great little home machine
I should have bought this sooner. I could have been saving a lot of money going for morning coffees. It does leak a tiny bit from the catch basin, but honestly not enough to be a problem. It’s super easy to use, it takes very little time to heat up, and it came with everything I needed to make a great cup of coffee. I have it sitting in my rolling kitchen cart, it’s fits perfectly without taking up a ton of room. Kitchen Aid is always durable and I feel it was worth the money I spent.

    Amazing espresso machine
I love this Espresso Machine, I’ve had it for a couple weeks now and I’ve made MANY lattes!! My keurig machine has not been used in days I actually want to get rid of it because my drinks from my Kitchen Aid espresso machine are way better. The kitchen aid espresso machine is great quality , it’s heavy , durable & pretty. It’s super easy to use the buttons to make a espresso shot & to froth the milk. My espresso shots come out with a beautiful color crema after & I like how I froth my own milk manually because I like to make my milk extra hot. I also use milk alternatives like coconut or almond milk and I like how I froth it myself so I can get the perfect amount of froth for my preferences. The damper is heavy & great quality, so is the handle that holds the grounds- it’s so heavy it feels so high quality. I once had a delonghi completely automatic espresso machine that is priced at like $900 something and I love this espresso machine way more. I returned the delonghi one because I wasn’t satisfied. With kitchen aid semi automatic espresso machine I’m 100% satisfied & I’m keeping this thing! Only complaint is water tray at bottom fills up fast , like every 3 lattes about…. still over all love & reccomend (:

A Complete Disaster of a Purchase
I had high hopes when I ordered the KitchenAid Espresso Machine from Amazon. I was excited to finally have a high-quality machine to craft my morning lattes, but what I received was nothing short of a complete and utter disappointment.First, let’s talk about the missing parts—because apparently, KitchenAid thought I wanted a half-assembled machine as some kind of DIY project. The steam wand was completely missing, meaning I had no way to froth milk. The portafilter was nowhere to be found, so pulling a proper espresso shot was out of the question. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the flat base was missing too, making the machine utterly useless right out of the box.But wait—there’s more! The water tank on the back was not only broken but arrived in a condition that looked like it had been drop-kicked across a warehouse. How does something like this even make it past quality control? I ordered a brand-new machine, not a collection of defective parts! For the price I paid, I expected excellence—or at the very least, a functional product. Instead, I received what can only be described as a high-tech paperweight that does absolutely nothing. This experience has been beyond frustrating, and to say I’m disappointed would be an understatement.KitchenAid, you need to do better. Amazon, you need to ensure that customers are actually getting the products they pay for. Do not waste your money on this machine unless you enjoy the thrill of frustration and disappointment.

    Very nice and sturdy!
I’m not an espresso expert and have never had an espresso machine. That being said, I love this machine! It’s nice and heavy and looks to be very well built just like my KitchenAid stand mixer. It’s simply awesome!!! It froths the milk nice and thick and fluffy, I ordered the milk frothing attachment from another website but it hasn’t been delivered yet. I was looking at 4 different espresso machines and this one won and I really think I made the right choice, just like all KitchenAid products it’s very nice and sturdy and works really well. It came well packaged as well. The coffee stamper is a nice metal as well which I noticed some other brands come with a cheap plastic one, it comes with extra things like two single wall cups and two double wall cups for one and two shots, other brands didn’t have those extras, also a nice coffee scooper and a milk frothing cup.

I bought a refurbished coffee maker that never worked. Not sure who did the “refurbishing” but I was not impressed with the results. And the machine itself seemed to be mostly plastic. It does not seem to be well built.

La première cafetière était défectueuse dès la première mise en marche. Elle a été remplacée en ions de 3 jours. Depuis elle fait d’excellents cafés.

I’m rating this machine relevant to its advertised ability, not some pie in the sky expectation that I have.First of all, this is semi-manual so don’t expect that you’ll be able to just make perfect espresso without knowing about the basics of coffee grinds, tamping, pulling shots etc. The machine comes with two different types of baskets, one set for pre-ground coffee and one for freshly ground coffee. Know when to use which.Once you dial in the machine and your grind, the pull ends up being consistent and you’ll have great tasting espresso with nice separation. There isn’t anything to complain about here, you get all the tools you’ll need to make this happen, just learn how.The steamwand/frother is indeed good enough to make nice microfoam and latte art, but you need to be experienced or be willing to learn proper technique. It does not have the panarello adapter that comes with lower end machines to make the process easy, you actually have to do it yourself. Pressure here is obviously not as good as high end machines, but it IS just good enough that with good technique you can get the job done, and I don’t know many machines at this price point that even have the ability to do this without a panarello, so good for kitchen aid.Build quality is classic KA, the thing is a metal tank. The water bucket has a nice volume, and the built in handle makes it easy to take off and refill. Buttons are not flimsy, and all thr accessories with the machine are also metal and feels very sturdy and very robust. It’s easy to clean and maintain, which is important. The hot water function is also great for making tea and hot drinks, but if you’re a tea connoisseur you’ll want a water heater with fine temperature control, this machine only has 3 temperature settings, but again, it’s not advertised as a pro tea making machine. All in all, this machine has it all the for semi-manual crowd. If you know how to dial in a machine and your grind, and you can use a proper steam wand, then you’ll be happy with this machine for the price point. It’s built well, it looks great, and makes delicious espresso. It’s fun to use as well, because you have to be active and “drive it” and the better YOU are, the better the coffee will be, and that is rewarding for some people, whereas others just want to press a button and have good tasting coffee. If you’re that person, don’t buy this machine. It’s a bit more like driving a manual transmission, but it’s more fun too, and you’ll win the race if you know how to drive.
