Dainty, but strong
Seeing these online, I was certain that they would be bendy across the length, but I was wrong, and they’re pretty stable (you can bend them if you really wanted to, but I would not characterize them as bendy).They also have a really dainty and petite look to them, which I wasn’t expecting. But since the quality is not compromised, I would say that their petite nature is ultimately more of an aesthetic. If you’re existing flatware is beefy and substantial, then these would not match well, but, they’re still worth getting because of their quality.The spoon part is nicely finished at the edges and does not look like a generically stamped metal sheet with ungrinded, cookie-cutter edges. No, these are finished elegantly as spoons are supposed to be finished, and they look nice.I got a single pack to try out, and I will be getting more since these are a great find and are such a nice thing to have during the sweltering summers, for tall iced drinks and milkshakes, etc. The long handle is such a great feature, unlike other long handled iced tea spoons of shorter lengths. If a more “substantial” version were offered at a great price, I would have chosen those, but as I said, that would come down to the aesthetics, as the quality of these is excellent despite their daintiness. If you think you could use an iced tea spoon like this, I recommend that you give these a try!

The side circumference of the teaspoon section also looks moderately cheap in appearance, even though it functions quite adequately.The other 3 long-handled spoons all had certain situations in which they would be the best spoon to use.I therefore recommend that everybody should avoid buying the Hiware 8.5-inch long-handled spoon but go ahead and buy all 3 of the other long-handled spoons.All 4 of these products occasionally had very minor defects such as black smudges, which could easily be removed with a water-soaked, abrasive sponge, or very tiny dents, which could not be improved.Expect 1 or 2 spoons of the set of 4 spoons to be less than perfect in all 4 of these products.The Onubu Bistro 8.8-inch High Quality Long Handle Spoon (made in China) was the best spoon to use when:(1)Mixing thick foods, mixing thick drinks, or mixing ice cream because the handle was easier to grip than the handles of all other long-handled spoons when great strength was needed to do the mixing.(2)Showing off a high quality spoon to your friends or customers.However, the Onubu Bistro 8.8-inch High Quality Long Handle Spoon (made in China) had the following disadvantages:(1)This spoon, which was the highest quality spoon for showing off, was not the highest quality spoon for function because of its weight, which was somewhat too heavy, making it more difficult to enjoy using this spoon than lighter weight long-handled spoons.(2)This handle of this spoon, which is very thick and heavy compared to all other long-handled spoons, gets much hotter and much more difficult to touch than the other brands of long-handled spoons when left standing in coffee, tea, cocoa, or soup with boiling hot water poured over it.The Purefold Korean 8.6-inch Hollow Handle Long Handle Spoon (made in South Korea) was the best spoon to use when:(1)The large, tablespoon size of this spoon was needed or desired. A little longer and more slender than I expected.
I love the spoon, itâs very pretty, it is a good price, and the quality is great! I only gave it 4 stars because it is a little longer and more slender than the long teaspoons that I already have, which makes it a little awkward to hold. I didnât think to measure my old ones (the one pictured in the middle) before I ordered. I would have ordered a shorter one, but I also order new flatware (the regular teaspoon on the left is part of the new set), and I was basically looking for a match to the flatware, so I failed to look at the measurements. There could be a shorter one by the same company. But all in all I am very pleased! It is perfect for parfaits in a tall dessert dish or shot glasses, or to stir a beverage in a glass, but we usually use long teaspoons when we eat ice cream and pudding, etcâc from a bowl, and the stem is a little to slender for that. So it depends on what you use it for. Itâs a great buy!
