Perfect for Powdered Laundry Detergent!!!
I was surprised nobody had reviewed this for powdered laundry detergent! I wanted something better than the cardboard box Tide comes in. Changing out the container was always messy and left powder residue all over the place. Most marketed items for powdered laundry detergent are too small. I didn’t want something that couldn’t hold my whole box of detergent!This one looked the best after doing some research on a few options, and I went for it.It works great, and holds an entire box of Tide from Costco- we with some room to spare! Because of this a whole new box and the last-few-loads-worth of detergent from a mostly empty box, all easily fits in this sturdy container. I’m also hoping the airtightness means fewer clumps of detergent forming over time. The front lid flips open easily, to scoop up detergent quickly. I’ve already done two loads with the new detergent set up, and it’s way better than the cardboard lid that would occasionally flick bits of detergent when it swung open of shut.

Perfect for bulk food
Love these for my various bulk dry pet food storage. They got a large size dry dry food bag of 11 pounds perfectly. The container comes with a scoop so that’s a plus. They stack well side by side on shelves and look neat. They will keep rice, bulk grains of all types, flours and so many other items fresh. I use them in my pantry and they fit perfectly. I’m not so sure if they will fit in my cabinets so I recommend you measure first but they are worth the price in my opinion.

Great for cat food, but not as air tight near the flap as I’d like
I purchased this in order to hold a 16lb bag of Hills Science Diet cat food – the small pyramid shaped kibbles. Based on my quick math, I determined there are 4 cups to a lb of this type of food, and that I’d need a container that could hold 64 cups. This is a fairly odd number for a bin, so I looked for something close enough. I tried two other brands of bins which all claimed to hold the appropriate amount in lbs, but neither came even close to holding that amount of cat food. So, this time I went based on cups value, and had much better success. This claims to hold 80 cups, so I figured it would have lots of extra space. I was wrong, but it worked out okay anyway. It just BARELY holds the 64 cups of cat food, with room for a 1/2 cup scoop with handle that I already owned. The 80 cups is probably based off of rice, or something else that compacts much more than cat food. But, since it still managed to fit the whole 16lb bag and the scoop, with room to scoop easily, I was happy. It’s super easy to take the lid off in order to fill the bin, and easy to put it back. The flap opens and closes easily one handed. I don’t think the little flap is as air tight as they claim, but it does have a rubber seal around it. It’s mainly that the snap to close the door doesn’t snap all that securely, so I think it probably does let some amount of air in. That’s not too big a problem for me, though, but your mileage may vary. I appreciate that the bin has a small footprint, it fits easily on my shelf. It doesn’t feel weak or wobbly, and it’s really easy to clean. I do think it’s a bit overpriced given that similar bins with similar capacity are sometimes about half the price of this, but I did need something pretty specific and this fit the bill so I was content with spending more.

Excellent organizing tool
Recently reorganized pantry. Didn’t know how much we needed these till we got them! Bought the 2-pack to hold rice and flour. Then purchased another one to hold oats. I would buy more but my pantry is too small. Thinking about getting a few more to keep in the garage! Each one come with its own dedicated scoop cup, so you don’t have to worry about cross-contamination. Highly recommended.
