Better than original
Fits my 34 oz Bodum Chambord perfectly. Thicker glass, nicely embossed, feels solid well made using good borosilicate glass. Absolutely super value.

Excellent replacement beaker
Not much to say about a beaker for a French press. The Grosche fit well and is sturdy and made a great replacement for a broken beaker. I bought two, anticipating another breakage some day. An excellent alternative to discarding your French press.

Awesome Quality and Fit for Bodum
Iâve bought several of these because Iâve dropped them – theyâre thick glass, great design, and easily fit snugly into my Bodum French press. You know the quality youâre going to get with this product and it makes it so easy.

Perfect!
This replacement glass fits perfectly into my husband’s 34 ounce Bodum French press! I highly recommend. If I ever need to replace again, this is the product I would buy again.

Fine quality, not great fit for Bodom
I bought this Grosche 1000ml “universal replacement glass” for my Bodom Chambord. This is definitely not the first one I’ve bought (I usually break em when washing or bumping into dishware). So I bought this one because it was the cheapest I found in a ten minute search on amazon. In retrospect, it probably wasn’t worth it, being that I only saved like a buck…The only problem with this beaker was the way it fit my press.Other replacement beakers had fit my Bodom Chambord perfectly. With this one, I had to loosen the top metal strap of the press to get this glass in, which I hadn’t needed to for other replacements. Also, the metal lid did not fit into the beaker well.I could “coax” (not quite, force, but close) the metal lid into the beaker, but it tended to pop back out.The lid fit created a dilemma. If I force it in, I’m afraid to break the beaker. If I don’t, coffee spills when I pour…Inevitably, I broke the beaker by forcing the lid in.Not that this beaker is thinner or more fragile than other ones, just that I forced it due to it’s odd size.Perhaps this beaker is ideal for other manufacturer’s presses (maybe even for other Bodom presses…)But I use a Bodom Chambord, and this beaker doesn’t fit too well. This beaker cost $17.50 when I bought it August 2013.Other replacement glass beakers I’ve used which worked perfectly for my press:”BonJour 8-Cup French Press 53315 Replacement Glass Carafe, Universal Design”cost $14.95 when I bought it February 2013 (cost $21.50 as I write this review)”Bodum 34-Ounce Coffee Press Glass Replacement Beaker”cost $19.17 in May 2012 (cost $19.99 as I write)

Perfect size!
Would also be nice to have liquid measurements on the side for the # of cups/scoops – but otherwise awesome!

Fits my Bodum Brazil (plastic frame) just fine! 1-24-2018
1-24-2018. Real review here. I cracked the original glass beaker to my Bodum Brazil 8 cup / 1000ml / 34oz a few weeks ago. It was from taking it all apart cleaning it then reassembling. While putting it back in the plastic handle/base, I cracked the glass. I was on the fence about this “off brand” product. I noticed some other reviewers talking about how it was not the same size, it was thin cheap glass or didn’t fit back in the handle. I am here to assure everyone that it will fit just fine and seems to be a fine thickness. Full disclosure though, I didn’t take a micrometer to measure precise inside or outside diameters or thickness. I don’t notice any difference between this Grosche beaker and the Bodum brand. It fits just fine in the housing as well as the mesh basket with no “blow by” of coffee grounds when pressing the coffee. Some helpful advice though… The handle to the Bodum Brazil is quite robust and it was from me forcing the plastic and glass together that created a small crack in my original beaker. As of this writing the replacement Bodum glass is $25.29 USD, the Grosche is $11.99 USD. That was a price that mattered to me. (A Common Bodum… $25 for replacement glass!? crazy)When replacing my cracked beaker with the Grosche I boiled up a pot of water. I then put my Bodum Brazil plastic base in. This makes the plastic more pliable. It didn’t take long, just dip the bottom and top in the boiling water just for about a minute, the replacement beaker slipped right in with minimal effort.Overall great product. Infact is it better than Bodum? Bonus points for styling because the Grosche beaker doesn’t have all the warnings about how you shouldn’t pour hot coffee in your lap, not for stovetop use and don’t let children play with it. It is just clear, all the way around. The approximate dimensions of a Grosche replacement 34oz / 1000ml / 8 cup beaker are: 3 3/4inches wide x 7 inches tall

Fits my Bodum Cafetiere 8 cup / 1 litre perfectly! The glass seems solid. Differences from the original Bodum glass: glass seems thicker, and the beak has a split in the middle, presumably for better pouring. (The Bodum does tend to drip)
