Saves a lot of money
This refillable coffee pod for our Nespresso was the best choice out of the limited options out there. I have found that it works well and saves a ton of money (over $1 per pod).

Great
This thing works great, the lids stick on well, you have to pack it very full (I do 18-19g coffee grounds, yes I weigh it), but itâs a way to brew fresher coffee using the foolproof Nespresso, which is great for me because I want better tasting coffee, but donât love drip machines. A little pricey for this thing but itâs nice to have fresy ground coffee over Nespresso that was brewed maybe a year ago.

Excellent but with some caveats
While the Nespresso machines are nice and convenient, their coffee is just okay and strangely when they make a nice flavor one, they stop selling it. The Starbucks ones are fine, nothing great but at least if you like a flavor, you can keep buying it. So, this is nice, you can literally use any coffee brand you like and a typical bag will make you about 25 cups so you can do the math but most important, you get to decide which brand you like or love … if you don’t want to grind anything, just get the ones already ground for espresso. Of course, it takes a few minutes but it’s not terrible. Scoop out ground coffee into pod, tamp down, put sticker on pod and use as normal. Afterwards, peel off sticker, throw out grounds in pod, wash. For Nespresso users, there are a few things to keep in mind. It doesn’t make as much creama/foam as the pod. I don’t think it’s a big deal as I had hot foamy milk anyway. You can also only get a giant cup of coffee so if you’re a person who wants varying amounts of coffee, you should one of those kits that has different size metal pods.Other things to keep in mind is you have to tamper carefully, it would be nice if they included a tamper instead you use the plastic cup carefully to tamp down the grounds … tamp too hard and it spills out. The sticker sometimes leaves a residual as afterwards, it doesn’t always peel cleanly but again, not huge issues … just things to note.Pod works like normal, put in machine, twist and push button. Machine reads pod as. normal. There are other companies selling you just the foil and you re-use your current pods, in looking at my pods, it looks like you need surgery skills to remove the Nespresso pod tops without framing the aluminum pod underneath so this way seems much easier. The metal pod is solid metal. It would be nice if they were clearer on what grind setting your coffee should be … the photo above is nice but not real scientific. But it’s nice and not really that much of a hassle … I can basically do it all in about a minute of loading, removing and cleaning … again, any coffee brand you want.

No good
Does not work. Missed the return date, trying to make this product work. Iâve tried everything and it does not work. Super unfortunate & I spent $20+ on a broken product that I cannot return.

Amazing. Worth it!
My husband uses this every morning. It saves us so much money. We buy the expresso ground from Target and it compares to the Nepresso capsules that are way overpriced. Itâs literally ground coffee and a .10 cent metal capsule or selling for $1 each. Total waste of money. If you like saving money, get this. Works perfect and coffee tastes great every time!

Not for the Average Consumer
After almost a month of use, I can say I’ve given this reusable pod a fair test. If you plan to buy this pod, or refill any Nespresso pod, you should own a coffee grinder for best results. I’ve discovered after busting open a few official pods that the 8 oz pods like this one use medium-fine grounds specifically, which are slightly coarser than espresso grounds, but not quite as coarse as drip coffee grounds. As you can imagine, this will be hard to find prepackaged.Once you have the right level of coarseness, using the pod is a bit of a challenge. I recommend filling the pod all the way to the top, as the pod won’t be able to hold as much grounds as an official one due to the flat bottom design. You will need to make sure the rim is completely clean, or the foil lid won’t stick properly. Lining up the foil correctly can also be a challenge. Once the coffee is actually brewed, I’ve found it can be a bit weaker than a normal Nespresso pod due to not being able to hold as much grounds. On the product page, it is also listed that this pod is not compatible with the Nespresso Vertuo Next machine. I can confirm this is true, as I have tested on both a Nespresso VertuoPlus and a Next, and have received different results. The VertuoPlus has no problems spinning the pod and brewing the coffee correctly, while the Next seems to have trouble spinning the pod, and can become “choked” during the brewing process and not finish the cup. I think this is either due to the lack of ridges on the bottom of the cup, or the lack of a lip on the rim for the machine to grab onto. The best thing about this product is the brush, foil lids, and scoop it comes with. I’ve used the brush and foil lids to reuse official Nespresso pods and have had much better results doing so. Grasseed sells a kit for reusing official pods which includes the foil, a brush, a scoop, and a holder/tamper for them. You would be much better off purchasing that instead.TL;DRThe pod is difficult to use, produces slightly weaker coffee, and isn’t compatible with every Nespresso maker. You’re better off reusing an official Nespresso pod.

There are so many products out there that claim to be vertuo compatible but aren’t. But I can confirm that these actually do work! I’m so glad I found them when I did. I have been recommending them to everyone! If you’re unsure, trust me on this, just try them. You’ll be glad you did ð
