Despite its diminutive geography, it is a land of great beauty and manages to be one of the largest tea producers in the entire world. Ceylon tea is the name broadly given to loose black teas produced in Sri Lanka. Ceylon is considered the world’s best fruity black tea, and has many properties that make it perfect for use in blends, or as bases for flavored teas. While originally a coffee country, weather conditions and crop infestations pushed Sri Lanka towards tea production, and they took to it with aplomb. While tea is grown and produced all over the world, Ceylon (Sri Lankan) has a special recognition, and much of this has to do with the production methods. While others have begun to mechanize the entire process, or simplify it with CTC Manufacturing, Ceylon tea is still produced by the Orthodox method. This is painstaking and time consuming, as it means pickers filling baskets only partially to avoid bruising leaves, and carefully rolling out the tea to break down cell walls to allow the oxidation process to begin. Once sufficiently oxidized, the loose leaves are then fired to preserve their current state of oxidation, and carefully packaged and sent to happy tea drinkers across the world. This English Breakfast blend is unique because it was grown entirely within the grounds of the Idulgashinna Estate. This simplified supply chain means product is watch closely from planting, to harvest, to oxidation, to hand packing in Cleveland, OH. It means a whole leaf breakfast tea that is ethically and sustainably sourced, and it means jobs in the heart of the midwest as we lovingly package the tea for consumers at our headquarters. It is also a 100% certified organic.

    Great Organic Dried Calendula Flowers For Herbal Tea And DIY Skin Care Products!
    Love these Organic Dried Calendula Flowers!- Fresh and aromatic. Makes delicious herbal tea, by itself or mixed with other dried herbs such as peppermint.- Great for DIY skin care products.- I store the dried calendula flowers in a lidded glass jar for easy use.This bag is a terrific value, too. I highly recommend this product.

    Quality
    Ive been ordering this tea for a few years now and its become a staple in my home. I love the looseleaf brewing that i can throw into my eletric water kettle and easily brew a delicious pitcher of tea easily for myself and my family. The taste is bold but but not too strong and a little goes a long ways.

    I”m a loose-tea noob, but…
    I’ll start by saying that I’m completely new to loose tea, so am not sure if I’m brewing it correctly (I’m still making adjustments to how I brew), but this tea is pretty good. I’m usually pretty particular about the flavor of my tea, and though I haven’t tried many brands of chamomile, I had found prior to this stuff that the one that delivered the best flavor (for me anyway) was the Bigelow chamomile tea. BUT since it isn’t organic, and it’s bagged which I’m trying to get away from, I went searching for a good organic loose variety and finally chose this one.Like I said, I don’t have a lot of experience with many different qualities or sources of chamomile, so I don’t really know what to look for as far as flavors and aroma that would denote a “better” quality, all I can do is compare to my previous pick of Bigelow brand (incidentally, I just can’t seem to find out what specific variety of chamomile they use (Roman/German), so I might be comparing apples to oranges here). Here’s what I found comparing the two:When I opened this bag of loose, I noticed right away that there was a LOT more complexity to the aroma of the flowers (which are dried whole and very pretty to look at btw!). The smell of chamomile that I was used to is certainly there (though maybe not quite as strong), but it’s also mixed with a mild sweet-grassy and almost a faint mint smell, along with a VERY mild smell of flower pollen (there is actually pollen from the flowers all along the insides of the bag- not a lot, but it’s there and you notice it). All of this I love, because it seems more natural and like the experience you would get were you to grow and use your own chamomile.Flavor-wise, the experience is very similar. I’m not sure if I’m brewing it right, but I prefer a stronger tea, and steep 2-3 tsp in slightly more than one cup of hot water for about 7 minutes. Finish it up with a splash of whole milk and a generous spoon of honey. It’s not the straight, mellow-but-bright flavor I’m used to from the Bigelow- there are the other flavors there as well (sweet-grassy) which gives it a deeper complexity. So, not exactly the same, but I don’t dislike it at all! I’m thinking this is probably more of the way that a chamomile tea aught to taste, as it really does taste like the dried flowers.So, what to take away from this? If you’re used to more processed teas, you’ll notice a big difference in this right away. I think it’s something that I’ll get used to over time, and maybe even come to prefer. The fact that I can look at it and see that I’m brewing nothing but whole, dried, beautiful chamomile flowers is reassuring (no mystery ingredients hiding inside a tea bag), as is the USDA organic seal on the bag itself. A nice tea, and I would definitely buy again -that is, if I ever make it to the bottom of the bag, which is huge! 🙂

    Large Tea Leaves That Don’t Escape Diffuser
    Excellent English breakfast tea that clearly lives up to its product description. I am certainly not a tea connoisseur, but the aroma and taste are exactly what I wanted for a nice cup of hot tea. I wanted leaves that were large enough to not leak out of my diffuser, and these are perfect. The reclosable package is sturdy and unassuming enough to leave out on my kitchen counter. As others have communicated, the bag is completely full, and since I am not an everyday tea drinker, it should last me a good amount of time. I will definitely buy this again.

    A+++ Quality and Quantity!
    The bag was full! I mean stuffed full! So used to getting less for more money on everything, when I opened the bag.. I was taken back by the wonderful aroma and the thoughtfulness of a FULL bag! I put the flowers right in my tea. Tastes smooth and fresh. You can certainly choose to use a strainer if desired.These flowers have a calming effect similar to chamomile for me. I sometimes mix them with other flowers like hibiscus, jasmine and Butterfly pea flowers.I rarely take time to leave reviews , but this seller really stood out to me with their product . Again , at a time when literally every product is reducing in volume while increasing in price , this company did not. Thank you , we appreciate you.

    Lemon Balm (Melissa). Me gusta la bolsa en la que viene empaquetado el producto, es una bolsa grande debido a que la densidad de las hojas es menor que de las raices. Tiene un aroma ligermanete perfumado a citricos. La parte frontal de la bolsa indica en forma ilustrativa la forma de preparar un té. Indica la cantidad que contiene y de donde viene el producto (Serbia) y donde se empaca (Ohio, USA). Lo voy a estar consumiendo para ver mejor su beneficio a mi salud. Gracias por vendermelo.
