Always enjoy a cup of hot coffee
In the beginning, you will receive your mug in beautiful packaging and it will work as you wish. The empty mug weight is 414g which is a little heavy but the handle is very comfortable. The first setup use very easy just charge your mug and download the app to set your preferred temperature.Once you set the temperature you need 10+ Min on average to reach your preferred temperature, the mug works on 110/220v if you need to travel. Please take a couple of minutes to read the user manual to avoid any short circuit while you charge the mug.PROS:1- Great build quality, just don’t use a metal spoon to avoid scratches.2- The average time depending on the temperature is 70 Min which is doing what is supposed to be done, and the actual temperature of the drink is similar to what is displayed on the app.3- Smooth app to control and easy to connect, and the mug will automatically off if the mug is empty.CONS:1- The charging time is very long more than two hours to get fully charged, this is very annoying!!2- The battery percentage decreases rapidly after a full charge until it reaches 3%, where it remains for a long time. I believe a software update is needed.3- I would like to see a 70 C degree nether than 62.5 to drink a black tea.

Ember vs Nextmug vs warmer *update*
*update* !! The mug still works awesome and Iâm super happy with itâ¦PLUSâ¦I discovered that my yeti travel cover fits in it!!! This extends the 80 mins of heat to MOST OF THE DAY (at 120F) if you can get ahold of a travel lid then youâll love it even more!!!I tried out Ember, Nextmug and a coffee cup warmer. I chose Ember and here’s why:(For context I am a busy mom and I drink one cup of coffee per day. I tend to sip on that cup all morning long. I like to bring it around the house with me, often settling in one area for long periods (like to do a craft or do computer).I chose the Ember mug and here’s why not the others:1) The warmer- I couldn’t bring the mug around the house with me, it had to always stay on the warmer. Also, as I drank the coffee down, it got hotter and hotter (less to heat). I had to keep turning the warmer down. Twice I forgot I left the warmer on and left the house and it stayed on all day. The warmer was also very hard to clean if you got a ring on it because it gets baked on. Literally I could not get the ring stain off. Lastly, the coffee tastes super gross after a few hours. Not sure why…but the heat from the bottom does something to it.2) Nextmug – I didn’t like the shape of the mug. It looks deep but actually half of the mug is the heating element so it’s not deep. Mine kept shutting off randomly, like within 10 mins of setting it, maybe it was defective? It also seemed to get hotter as the liquid became less like the warmer did.3) Ember – immediately I could see the temp on the app as soon as the liquid hit the cup, which I thought was NEAT! It turns its self on automatically when the coffee is put in it and goes to the last setting you set it at. It keeps it at that exact temperature regardless of how much is left in the cup (yay!). Thus it never overheats the coffee and the coffee stays delicious. I can take it all around the house and it is sturdy, looks cool and is nice and deep. It does shut off a lot sooner (from inactivity) than others, BUT it heats back up again surprisingly quick, so I’ll take it.Others have voiced connectivity issues. I have an iphone14 pro and it hasn’t had any trouble yet, but I just got it.For the record I was hoping I could control it via the app even when I wasn’t home (like turn it on and off remotely) but it doesn’t work that way. Since it’s bluetooth and not wifi controlled you have to be near it for it to work.Good luck friends!

Best thing for my job.
I am constantly drinking cold coffee be ause of how busy I am at work and I don’t have time to keep heating up my coffee. This keeps my coffee so nice and warm. And while it’s expensive (too expensive) normally, Ember had good holiday sales and the sale price made it worth it.

It actually works to keep your coffee hot! Needs wireless charging.
Works great. Keeps the coffee at your temperature. Definitely helps to have the lid to make the battery last longer & keep your coffee warmer for longer.Only drawback is the charging coaster is pretty fragile & the super tiny pins break very easily. Typically the tiny springs for the pins go out. At least a replacement charging coaster doesn’t cost much compared to the mug. Really need to make another updated version that uses wireless charging so it’s not susceptible to breaking & so you could use any wireless charging pad as a backup.

The new app works much better with Android phones now!!
I have had and loved this cup for years but I never could get the app to work well with my android phone. A few weeks ago my cup needed replaced and when setting it up I learned they have updated the app! It now works seamlessly with my cup!( It used to constantly lock up) I still loved my Ember mug because I’m a coffee addict, having it hot an hour after I pour it is simply the best! No more wasted coffee gone cold! Even without the app it kept my drinks hot but the set temp was a bit warm for me. I know the cup isn’t inexpensive but it’s fabulous! My first copper one still looked new after 2 years…but stir with plastic spoons only…metal will scratch it! Love it!!

I had the first ember cup that ever came out and liked the idea but cup was small (more like a tea cup) like that it came in the 14oz only negative part is the cup never charges to 100% no matter how long I leave it on the charger and I even use the plate while drinking my coffee⦠I was hoping to use it without the plate all the time but thatâs not the case for me. Itâs also taking sometimes heating up my coffee too much and causing a layer of skim across the top which definitely isnât pleasant when taking a sip and getting that in ur mouth!
