Very useful Ember mug accessory. Splash-proof, not spill-proof
I bought this lid to use with my 14 oz metallic Ember Mug2. The quality of the lid is good. It fits my mug really well. The silicon o-ring makes the fit nice and snug. And itâs easy to clean. I find it keeps my coffee hotter throughout the mug, instead of the coffee just being hotter at the bottom of the cup more than the top. And it also preserves a little battery life. All that being said, I would call the lid more splash-proof than spill-proof. When my mug tips over, liquid leaks from the closed sippy slider on top of the lid. It leaks out slowly, but when itâs coffee spilling into and the cup holders in the center console of your car, any amount is problematic. Also, if my mug dropped onto a hard surface, Iâm pretty sure the lid would pop off. So yeah, not spill-proof, but definitely splash-proof because the lid fits nice and snug. Overall, though, this is a very useful accessory for an Ember mug, and Iâm glad I decided to buy it.

I would highly recommend getting the lid for your Ember mug. It seems to extend the battery life of my mug. I like that the slider piece easily pops out to wash. It also came with three color sliders (black, white, and red). Fits perfect!

Fits great
Fits very tightly, it’s difficult to turn once on in case you need it at a different position. Holds the heat in, I get at least an extra hour battery life from my mug with this on. I really appreciate that it came with different color sliders, we have other travel mugs that look similar but don’t fit this, so I was happy to be able to change the slider to red to easily distinguish without having to try each one.

Not leak-proof
This lid perfectly fit my Ember 2 mug and it looks really nice. I like the additional sliders that are included so you can customize the look. It is also very slim and is nice to drink out of. However, this item is NOT “splash-proof” as it claims in the description. While riding in the car, my coffee splashes up and leaks through the sides of the closed slider and even out of the vent hole. A significant amount of coffee ends up in the top of the lid and it’s pretty messy. Just tilting the cup with the lid on it causes liquid to leak out of the top. Overall it’s nice to use as a cover, but it’s not ideal for traveling or moving around while carrying it.

Fits Ember Mug2 Perfectly
This lid does exactly what it’s supposed to: it helps keep the heat in the Ember mug so the mug’s power isn’t drained too quickly. There is definitely a difference in the mug’s performance when not using the lid, so I recommended getting this lid when ordering the Ember mug. The price is average for the lid but I got it on sale during Black Friday. Also got the Ember mug on sale. Otherwise, they are very pricey and quite the luxury item. Some might think they’re frivolous, but my house gets cold in the winter and this mug has made morning coffee extra special by keeping it hot for as long as needed.

Great addition to an Ember mug.
The lid is a terrific addition to an Ember mug. It is very easy to use and clean. It keeps the coffee hot for a longer time, and prevents the buildup of milk scum on the coffee surface. It also eliminates any spillage when carrying the mug from room to room.

Ember Sliding Lid – fits nicely on my ember mug and helps to keep my drink warm. It also prevents a skin from forming on my drink. It does add height to the rim of the mug so takes a bit of getting used too but I now use it all the time.
