Great tasting an easy recipe
This has become one of my favorite recipes to make. Friends and family love it. Has everything thing you need. Would also be a great beginner recipe normally about 14 days to ferment for me yields a very nice beer.

After a decade off from home brewing, I found myself volunteering to brew a batch for a company party. The Craft a Brew Milk Chocolate Stout was a big hit! I received many sincere complements, including âthis is the best stout Iâve ever tastedâ! The all inclusive kit had all necessary ingredients and excellent type written instructions that were well written and easy to follow. I have a lot of microbreweries around me of which most put out a decent Octoberfest Marzen each fall. However, this kit makes a wonderful batch which is comparable, and I am getting rave reviews from friends who are now calling me The Brewmeister!Thanks Craft-A-Brew!!

Good Kit but Yeast Past Expired Date
This is the second Craft-a-Brew kit I have ordered. The first was the American Pale Ale – it was great and the ingredients appeared to be fresh. The second kit is a Belgian Abbey Dubbel that just arrived. The yeast was one month past the expired date and one bag of hops was matted together. Customer service responded that the yeast would still be good so I have taken their word for it and started the brew. The yeast appears to be doing its thing so hopefully it will not be an issue. I started brewing my own beer because I can never find interesting beer in stores that is not well past the expire date. Am always told by the people working at the liquor store that expired beer is still good to drink – not the point as the taste is severely diminished. Now, I am brewing a beer with ingredients that may not be fresh and have to wait 6 weeks to find out. Frustrated but hopeful. I will end by saying that the kits from Craft-a-Brew are excellent in all other respects – hopefully this kit was an anomaly.Update: The beer turned out great despite the expired yeast! Upgraded to 4 stars – would be 5 were it not for yeast. I will also add that their customer service was very responsive to my concerns and had sent me some fresh yeast that arrived too late for my brew.

Easy kit to make. I used to get my beer kits from a local brewing store, but moved out of town. Thought I would try one of these kits. Probably the best tasting beer I have ever made. Will be getting more.
