I got this because a ceremonial tea just sounds fun! It turns out I think matcha tea tastes gross, but this set is still pretty decent.The linen cloth is low quality and I tossed it. The whisk and its stand is pretty cool, with a perfect fit for the whisk. The bamboo tray is cute and practical. The cup is a bit strange to drink out of and makes more sense as a tea pot than a tea cup. The size of it is odd too. Too small for a tea pot and way too large for a tea cup.If I liked the taste of the matcha tea more, then I would probably like this set more.

Nice little set!
Comes with basically everything you need to make matcha, except for a cup and the matcha itself. The mixing bowl is really nifty because it also comes with a spout and everything else looks about what I would expect. The whisk is nice, but I’m personally not going to be using it. I use a milk frother to mix my matcha, and I already have another hand whisk, so I really don’t need another. The scoop, strainer and tray are great additions, and are huge upgrades to making good matcha.

I Know Nothing About Matcha But…
I know nothing about matcha except that I love drinking it. I don’t know exactly what process I should use and I’m trying my best — this kit seems to offer a lot for the novice. It’s fun to make and my powder definitely does in much more nicely once I’ve sifted it and whisked it. Everything that came with this looks great and feels very lux.I don’t drink from the cup. I use it to mix the matcha and pour it over ice before I added other things.
