ARROSTO SCURO: Roasted until after the second “crack,” our Arrosto Scuro’s dark, rich color and roasted aromas are reminiscent of Old World Italian espressos but in a refined more traditional coffee. You may remember this blend as Italian Roast. It still has the same tasting notes of dark chocolate, caramel and smoky which makes the blend bold and intense with a deep flavor.
WHOLE BEAN FOR MAXIMUM FRESHNESS: Treat yourself every morning to the most flavorful, aromatic and delicious cup of coffee you can have by starting with whole beans (stored properly) and grinding right before brewing.
FROM FARM TO CUP: Our coffee cherries, sourced from trusted partners around the world, are harvested, processed, dried, sorted, graded and expertly roasted so that you can enjoy the best cup of coffee in the comfort of your own home.
COMMITMENT TO QUALITY: As 3rd generation family roasters, we have been perfecting the art of small batch gourmet coffee roasting for over 80 years in Upstate New York, ensuring top quality.
BARRIE HOUSE MISSION: The secret to our success is based on a simple idea: that coffee should be the highest quality – distinct, consistent, aromatic, balanced, and most of all, delicious.

Barrie House (decaf and organic)
The fragrance is warm and inviting. The taste is abundant. I appreciate the value and quality. Most coffees are barely noticeable without getting your nose in the bag. I freeze this to keep it just the way I received it!

Great tasting Coffee, good quality too
This Vanilla Coffee arrived well packaged and quick, good seller. This is a good quality coffee the makers have been around for 100 years and it’s still family owned and operated. When brewing it smells so good! I’ve recommended this coffee to quite a few friends and family. Great flavor, no tartness – just the wonderful taste of vanilla coffee.

Delicious Coffee But It ARTIFICIALLY FLAVORED
This is really a shame because it makes an excellent cup of coffee, but it is artificially flavored and I understand that uses some really nasty chemicals, so unfortunately I will not be buying it again.

Great Flavor
Have been searching for a high quality coffee at a good price point that is organic, free from mold, pestisides and other contaminents. This fits the bill! Its very smooth tasting and at an afffordable price.

OK flavor at a decent price
I’ve been looking for an alternative to Peet’s Big Bang so I thought I’d give this a try. It’s ok. Not at all objectionable, but not better than ‘good’. Going back to paying for Peet’s.

CARMEL GOODNESS
I LOVE THIS COFFEE, ITS SO CREAMY. YOU CAN TASTE THE CARMEL IN EVERY SIP. FULL BODIED COFFEE, AND SMOOTH. NICE WAY TO SRART YOUR DAY.

Threw out 95% of this…
Used in an espresso machine (with a grinder) – though I’m not a coffee snob. Counter Culture produced great tasting coffee, as did Peets and Whole Foods in-store brand. These beans were much lighter than the other decaf beans (all medium roast), and had zero taste. If you’ve had Keurig or Flavia coffee, it tasted like a weaker version of the more tasteless options. It literally tasted like flavored water, and not like coffee at all. I ended up stopping everything out of the machine and throwing out the basically full bag. Not sure how it could be this bad – but I’ve be very hesitant to buy anything from this brand.

I don’t normally drink coffee black, but with these beans it would be a sin to drink it with anything. This is so delicious!

Fabulous aroma and flavour!! Not at all bitter, nor oily. I’ve use in drip, pour over and French press and prefer this in pour over.
