I beat the heck out of this thing with my portafilter. No problem. Very quiet. No scattering of grounds.Add old grounds to soil for nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus in backyard. Adding coffee grounds can improve soil structure by enhancing aeration, drainage, and water retention. Grounds can also encourage the growth of beneficial microorganisms in the soil and deter pests like snails. Add under half a cup to two bags of soil up to once a month. You can also sprinkle coffee grounds over ashes to reduce dust when sweeping them out of your fireplace. Coffee grounds can build up and clog your drains over time by mixing with grease and other debris, causing plumbing issues in kitchen sinks and garbage disposals. Coffee grounds do not dissolve in water. Instead, they can clump together and form a dense mass that can obstruct pipes. Using a knock box is better than hammering your trashcan. And helps to repurpose.I also really like the tamping mat. I leave on counter full time with my tamper.
