I really love this matcha set! It’s easy to use and has everything I need to make a good cup of matcha. The only thing I wish it had is a strainer, I’ve seen other sets that include one, and now I feel like I should’ve gone with one of those. Still, it’s not a huge issue. I can use a separate strainer if needed. Overall, though, I am happy with this set.

classic design, the perfect kit for making matcha!
The packaging that this came in was very thoughtful. They separated everything to prevent it from cracking and I was able to get everything all in one piece!If you’re looking to start your matcha journey, this is the perfect kit for you. For the prices is definitely worth it you get 4 things that is definitely needed to make a good cup of matcha. I would say that the quality is really great, and the colorway of the ceramic pieces are very calming and classic! The color is exactly as shown in the pictures.

Looks and Feels Like it Was Made at A Pottery Shop
I love this macha set. The glaze isn’t entirely even, and there was even a drip of white glaze on the spout of the pot, which gives it an artisanal feel. Easy to use, as complete of a set as is necessary to brew your macha correctly. The bamboo whisk rinses easily and came completely clean with no effort at all. The measuring spoon scooped up just the right amount of powder to brew a single serving.

But this is still very nice, especially the matcha bowl, it is sized perfectly for whisking matcha, which had been my previous issue, before getting this set. I never had a âmatcha bowlâ and I just use whatever bowl I can find, and the whisking result is not as good as using THIS matcha bowl. The whisk is pretty authentic, yet, I believe that this set is still a âMade in Chinaâ set, rather than an authentic âMade in Japanâ set. The whisk holder is of authentic shape, and it is quite a necessity to keep and maintain the matcha whisk. All in all, this set is good, and I liked the color & style very much; while the price may not be the best, it is still not bad for what you get, and its performance.Thank you for reading this review, I hope that this review & the pictures are helpful to you in support of your purchase decision.

A very nicely presented Matcha tea set – with a rustic finish – make a great gift.The box gives a nice environmentally friendly feel from the outside, the inside has the items held in place with laser cut foam, not all that environmentally friendly but at least your tea set will be safe.The bowl (Chawan) has a nice rustic colour course glaze, with high side walls and a pouring spout.The Whisk holder (Kuse-naoshi) has the same colour rustic course glaze finish.The Whisk (Chasen) itself has a nice feel to it, and has approximately 100-120 tines, which will make frothing the matcha easy.The Scoop (Chashaku) has a nice smooth finish and no sharpe edges or splinters, the laser foam cut outs are pretty tight, so getting the chashaku out was a bit tricky.Over all this is a very complete Matcha tea set and has a nice deluxe feel to it, and with the rustic course feeling glaze it makes it a different looking matach tea set to the normal smooth glassy finish.It would make a nice gift or even for yourself as a good introduction to the world of Matcha tea.

This four piece set is just what you need for a nice, calming, teamaking ritual. The set has a ceramic bowl with a spout, a bamboo whisk, a bamboo scoop (to dole out just the right amount of tea powder for a cup), and a ceramic whisk holder (to put the whisk on to dry). “The traditional Japanese tea ceremony, typically known as ‘chanoyu’ (è¶ã®æ¹¯), centers on the preparation, serving and drinking of matcha as hot tea, and embodies a meditative spirituality.” If you want to do the whole elaborate cerimony go for it, but you don’t have to be as complicated as that. The whole set simply needs to be rinsed in water to stay clean. I have had fun with this set. The package is quite expensive for what you get, and for that reason I have rate it at only 4 stars, instead of 5.
