Super nostalgic, best espresso I’ve ever consumed.
I spent a lot of time in Portugal as a little kid ( 3-14 years of age) on and off while visiting family. And the espresso available at many of the coffee shops on street corners was something I grew to really enjoy.This smells and taste like what I’d get from the delta and small mom and pop cafés near Porto and Vila real. Easily better then any espresso roast I can get ahold of in Houston. The crema is thicc, the coffee is very mild and not too bitter, something non coffee drinkers can enjoy easier then the darker espresso’s some people are used to.The blend of robust and arabica beans gives this a higher caffeine content but the way it’s roasted eliminates the strong bitterness and dark flavor profile robust normally has.This is a solid 10/10 bag of beans for me.Will always grind and keep them in a air tight container for me to use when desired.Don’t forget to serve with some pastries in the morning, And liquor beirao at night. I was very excited when I found this online. I love this brand & usually drink the Lote Chávena & grind the beans myself.. but when I got back from Portugal I couldnât find any of the unground beans on Amazon so I decided to give the Delta Gold a try as Iâve had it before in Portugal & it was very good.Iâm not sure why ..as the bag wasnât expired & has plenty of shelf life left. If you like slightly sour coffee then maybe youâll like this.. but it is not for me. I prefer a much smoother mellow coffee. Iâll finish the bag but I wonât be reordering.Update – I did Brew this in a Bialetti Moka Pot & it helped the weird notes I was tasting. Still in my opinion not as good as the Lote Chávena in bean form but better.

High quality coffee but I prefer a richer blend
This is a good quality coffee. I was happy with the freshness and the roast. I prefer a darker richer coffee than this but I feel this is not a quality problem with the coffee itself. This would be great for making fancy coffee drinks.

2.2 lb coffee beans with less than a month shelf life
Received coffee that is expiring less than a month from purchase/delivery date. And for some reason this product falls in a category of non-refundable goods as if it is a battery or a chemical. Donât buy!

Bold taste and good grind
I have no issues with these beans. They grind nicely and offer a great flavor. It was a big bag so you’ll want to make sure you have an air tight container to store them in once opened.
