Usage Tips:
After putting an appropriate amount of coffee powder in, slowly pour boiling water clockwise along the cup wall. Stop pouring when the boiling water submerges the coffee powder and wait for about 15 seconds. We call this process “blooming”. The main purpose of blooming is to fully release the flavor of coffee. Fixed water dispensers usually heat the water to around 85 degrees. You can appropriately extend the blooming time. After blooming is completed, continue to pour water to extract coffee. Draw a cross or circles on the surface, which will enable the coffee powder to be extracted more thoroughly.

Ceramic coffee maker is great but the filters not so much!
I have had a lot of problems brewing coffee with the SCULPRIV pour over coffee filter. I am not sure whether it is the design of the ceramic coffee maker or faulty filters. I had carried some special coffees back with me from Kenya on a recent trip but unfortunately brewing the coffee turned into a disaster. What a waste of my very special Kenyan coffee! The filters kept âblowing outâ resulting in coffee grounds, hot water, and coffee going everywhere. A mess that happened repeatedly. I finally doubled the filters and was able to brew a cup successfully. I think the larger opening on the bottom of the coffee maker forced too much water through the filter and it couldnât withstand the pressure. I poured hot water from my tea kettle, perhaps a gooseneck kettle would work better for pouring over the coffee more gently. I have never had a problem with my other pour over style coffee maker.

I love it, my sister does not
First, the vessel itself is great quality and is very sturdy. I happen to love it. My sister, however, does not. Here’s why. This is a one-hole vessel. She hates this and swears that it doesn’t filter as well as a 3-hole vessel. Me? I can’t see the difference, but I wanted to include that detail if you care about that in your pour-over coffee world.

Love this filter
I make a slow pour coffee every morning. I had been using a ceramic filter with 2 holes but it took a very long time for the coffee to seep through. This filter has 1 large hole and I’m able to prepare my morning coffee in about half the time. The filter is very sturdy made of thick porcelain. I love it!

Easy to set-up and use, but may pour through a bit too quickly
This pour over unit is very nicely constructed, and set-up was very quick and easy. If you are someone who doesn’t have alot of time to wait for a stronger brew, and needs a cup of coffee quickly, this unit will serve your purposes well. However, if you are looking for a stronger brew with a slower drip rate, this pour over unit may not be for you. It all depends on your tastes and preference. For me, I prefer a much thicker/stronger brew, with a slower drip rate, so I found my coffee a bit thinner than I would like. For this reason, I gave this unit 4 stars. But depending on your tastes, this little unit does have the ability to prepare a cup of coffee very quickly.

love this! I have been without a coffee pot for a while and was so happy to find this! It works awesomely! It is very easy to use, and the coffee makes much quicker than my old coffee pot, and the coffee tastes amazing. This works like a breeze at the office where there isnât coffee pot. Now I can have my coffee wherever I go, whether I am going to the office, traveling, camping or just relaxing at home. It is very easy to clean. You can wash it or put it in the dishwasher. I didn’t know this exist. I used to have to try to get creative making coffee but now it so easy and quick without all the mess. I love â¤ï¸ it!

Slightly larger than average, overs my larger mug
Nice quality white ceramic pour over funnel, slightly larger than some Iâve tried. Fits on my large mug a little better. Rinses clean easily.The filters are standard size, with rounded tabs so you can peel one off the stack.Funnel is large enough that you can pour a full 10-12 ounces without waiting. Thatâs really convenient.Those are the main differences from a typical ceramic pour over funnel.Two thumbs up.
