I bought this stainless filter so I could make a decent cup of coffee when I’m traveling to foreign locations where good coffee is unavailable. I pack my favorite coffee, so on the road all I need is hot water and this stainless portable coffee filter. I put 2 to 3 rounded tablespoons of coffee in the filter and pour about 13 to 14 ounces of boiling water from a kettle. into a 16 oz. mug. Easy to clean after using.. You have to keep an eye on the water level in the filter as you pour. Just pour the hot water gradually to avoid flowing over the rim of the filter. The minor inconvenience is worth it to get a mug of freshly brewed coffee.

Worked well once
Upon arrival and unboxing, one arm was already crooked as heck. It was a small thing so I didn’t want to return it. I washed the product and gave it a try. It worked very well on the first use and there were no coffee grounds in my final coffee. However, every use after, my coffee had sediment at the bottom of my coffee and I have had to start using coffee filters inside this, which defeats the purpose of getting this in the first place.It’s nice and compact but I have to pack filters with it, so that’s a pass for me. I do not recommend this product.

Better than a single serve coffee maker
We have a Hamilton Beach The Scoop and it makes a big mess when it brews. Coffee splatters all over the counter. If the coffee grounds are ‘fluffy’ they’ll also spray all over the inside of the machine. Bought this little pour over to try in its place. It’s perfect! It’s easy to brew a single cup or a medium-sized thermos. Would recommend to someone who already has a kettle and doesn’t need 15 cups of coffee to start their day. We probably make ~4 cups a day on average using the pour over.
