    Beautiful and well made!
I absolutely love these salt/pepper grinders. The wood grain with all the different hues of colors and shades running through it gives it a very beautiful and appealing look. They fit perfectly in with all the rustic wood I have in my kitchen. I really like the texture of the ridges on the grinders as well. It feels good to my hands and it also allows for a better grip. Both grinders have an S or P labeled on top of the screws for easy identification. The grinder itself works smoothly with little effort. I love the gold tone band and hardware with the “Burlywood” color, it gives it a nice rich, quality look. The tray is also a nice added touch that complements the grinders as well as keeping those loose granules of salt/pepper contained on the tray. These are very easy to fill if you have a small silicone funnel. I actually cut the bottom narrow end of the funnel to make it slightly wider and it fit perfectly on top and down into the hole of the grinder, making it hassle free to fill. Be sure not to fill above the indention to allow the top part to fit back down into the hole so you can screw the cap on. These are not overly large capacity so, if you use a lot of ground salt/pepper, you may be refilling them more often. For me, they’re just right as I use them lightly on and off through the week. I’m more than happy with them and wouldn’t hesitate to give them as a gift.

    Looks great, works great!
So before these, I had an electric salt and pepper grinder. Great in theory, less so in practice, so I was really glad when I found these!First, they LOOK great – like something you might find at a high end restaurant. They can grate from fine to course (as you would expect) – though admittedly it was a bit tricky to figure out how to change it. Cleaning inside of it is easy too – is simple to disassemble, and it dries quickly. The base is a great addition, though one of the shakers is a bit of a tight fit – probably manufacturing defect – but it doesn’t affect the use at all! Overall, I really love these salt and pepper grinders.

    Aesthetically pleasing for sure
Beautiful in person and just what I was looking for aesthetically. Cons: doesnt hold as much whole salt/peppercorns as my previous grinder so quicker refill and the grinding of the pepper feels weaker, but its not a deal breaker for me. To get a chunkier grind, you’re supposed to keep the too gold knob looser, but I dont find it makes a huge difference. Oh well.

Made of solid wood and metal instead of plastic!
Review for Uniovc Wooden Salt and Pepper Grinder Set in Black and White:I purchased this set after getting frustrated with my electric grinders constantly corroding and dying—not to mention the hassle of replacing AAA batteries all the time. These solid wood salt and pepper grinders are a fantastic alternative. The ribbed exterior makes them incredibly easy to grip and twist, which is a huge improvement over the round, smooth, slippery designs many manufacturers use. 🙄The build quality is excellent—sturdy and well-made—but the thick wood construction does limit the amount of salt or peppercorns they can hold. I expect to refill them frequently, but given how smoothly they grind and how much seasoning they dispense with little effort, I don’t mind!Aesthetically, I love the black and white contrast, but I do wish there was an option for silver trim instead of gold. The included solid wood base is a thoughtful addition, keeping my dining area free of stray salt and pepper granules. 🥳Adjusting the grind size is simple with the small metal knob on top, which also secures the grinders together. At $35.90, plus an extra 10% off coupon, this set is a great value. They’re beautiful, functional, and well-built—everything I was looking for. Highly recommend!

A classy set of salt/pepper grinders.
A very handsome salt and pepper grinder set. You get two wooden grinders which are 8 inches long and 2 inches wide. They sit on a nice wooden tray that catches crumbs. Because they are both grinders, you put rock salt in one and peppercorns in the other. OK, million dollar question…how do you tell which is which? The metal knob on top has either an S or P printed on it. If that’s not enough for you, they do make this set with one mill in white and the other in black. But I like the natural wood finish of this set; they have an awesome retro, 1970’s steakhouse vibe. Due to their large size and the ribs carved in the sides, they are easy to hold and twist. To fill, you unscrew the metal cap and lift off the top of the mill. Grind size is adjusted by how tight you twist on the metal cap. Only negative is you have to open them up to check the spice levels.

    Simple and elegant
These are surprisingly nice for the price. Like if I saw these at someone’s house and they told me they spent double I’d still think that was a reasonable deal.Personally I’m not into grinding salt. I typically pinch kosher salt for everything, so I didn’t mess with that grinder. They appear to be the same internally, just an “S” on the top nut rather than a “P.”I prefer my peppercorns ground fine. I’m not a fan of the “tooth or food” game when chewing. I cranked the knob down and churned out a fine pepper powder. I took a picture of that, then backed the screw off to give it a few more turns of coarse pepper followed by even more coarse dose to create a gradient, then snapped another pic. The adjustment is simple and effective, but didn’t seem like it would stay locked at any setting long term. The knurling is clean and refined. Like its got a nice grip to it without any sharp edges. The stand has a bit of slop to it, but I suspect that’s intentional. It’s just a place holder, not an isolation plate. For an image, I pushed each grinder toward the outside. Seems about right for setting it down quickly, yet also feeling like they have a custom home.

    Safety Concerns
These look great, but the raw wood inside leaves me concerned about wood shavings in my seasoning. The design is stylish, and the exterior is very well carved. I ordered the black and white, but there are clear markings on the top nut to designate Salt and Pepper. It’s a shame that the interior was not lined.
