Great boxes, precision manufacturing. I bought a second one!
These had the right dimensions for the use I had in mind. The hinges were well aligned and the locking latch was perfectly mounted for easy opening and closing. I did spray paint mine with krylon brand paint and the finely sanded surfaces made for a glossy finish and quick drying. I did protect the hinges and latch from the paint. No moist-wood scent to worry about.

I bought one a few months ago. I read about splits and damage but mine came in fine shape. I needed two more so I just ordered these. They came in fast and double boxed. No damage or flaws of any kind. The price is the same as it was last summer. Thanks

VERY WELL MADE
I’m using this neat little bamboo box to store all the junk that accumulates on my night table.Sleep mask, cigarettes (yes I still smoke and over 21), lighter that I can never find, etc.The box is well made of real bamboo with a magnetized lid. Easy to open and close so I’m good with that.I just think it may be slightly over priced but then again I could not find anything cheaper when I searched so maybe I’m wrong. Even so…I like it and it keeps “stuff” from rolling on the floor.

Heed the Quality Control Warnings
I’ve had this box for a while. It’s the perfect size. I use it to organize my loose-leaf teas. So the box never gets wet, and nothing heavy was ever put inside. Of course this was the cheapest option at the time of purchasing so you get what you pay for. Not sure how much longer this box will hold out because the bottom panel has almost completely split.Not to mention, I can corroborate what another reviewer said about the lid not properly closing. The wood is thin, soft, and probably not treated correctly causing these warping issues. The lid doesn’t close due to a large gap along the front. It does close if the latches are engaged so I did not think to gripe about that too soon. But the fact that this box is about to be completely useless with a huge gap in the bottom is a problem.

One of the best made boxes I have come across at a fair price. The hinges and catch look a little heavy but I have purchased several other boxes and know from experience how easy flimsy hinges and catches distort. Please do not change the design.
