    Love it!
This review is for, “Whole Foods Market, Organic Sierra Blend Ground Coffee, Medium-Dark Roast, Dark Chocolate & Caramel, 12 Ounce”. For some reason, I have come to really dislike artificial flavors in coffee. So, no more flavored syrups or artificially flavored K-cups for me. I really love the flavors of this coffee. To my palate, the dark chocolate is more subtle than the caramel, but I definitely taste both. I appreciate how well balanced and smooth this coffee is. There’s also no sour, bitter or off flavors. The caffeine level is as expected. I am very sensitive to caffeine and can only have one cup of coffee a day. If a coffee has a higher caffeine level, I definitely notice it. This has become a new favorite!

Decent, but theres way better options at this price point.
For starters, it tastes good. It doesn’t have the cheap burnt carbon aftertaste that low end coffee roasted too quickly is prone to (such as Starbucks). That said, it’s not as smooth or rich as Lavazza. I guess to put it simply, it’s definitely a cut above Folgers, but when you get into this price range, everything else at this price range is also a cut above this. And that’s coming from a coffee snob. Yes there’s notes of caramel & dark chocolate and that element is done very well, as someone who does like flavour in my coffee like this. That being said, I’ll happily finish this bag, but again, for the price? I’ll keep reordering Lavazza, personally.

A Love Affair in Every Sip
The morning sun filters through the kitchen window, casting golden ribbons of light across the countertop. The air hums with the promise of possibility—until the first sip of Sierra Blend transports you elsewhere. Somewhere deeper. Richer. A place where time slows, and the only thing that matters is the luxurious embrace of dark chocolate and caramel, twirling like a slow dance across your palate. This is not just coffee. It is a rendezvous. A whispered conversation between boldness and warmth, where each sip lingers like the final notes of a well-loved melody. You don’t just drink it—you experience it. And long after the last drop is gone, the memory remains, woven into the fabric of your afternoon, calling you back for just one more cup.

Excellent medium-dark blend with a nice balance of flavor and boldness
I’ve always been someone who can never decide betweeh a dark roast and a medium roast. I love this blend because it’s somewhere right in the middle; its flavor has just the right level of boldness, bitterness and acidity of a dark roast for me, but not so overwhelming that I can’t taste a tinge of the origin flavors of chocolate and caramel.I used a French Press to make mine, and it came out great, if at first a little on the weaker side (I just ended up using a little more than usual). The medium grind was just the right size for me to use out of the bag. I appreciated that the bag was tightly sealed, and easy to seal once opened. The aroma when I opened the bag was intoxicating.I couldn’t find anything about country of origin, either on the bag or on this product page. Being Arabica coffee, I’m assuming that means it’s still produced by Allegro Coffee out of Boulder, and that they’re using a blend of various Arabica beans; but it still would have been nice to see a little more transparency in their sourcing. That said, I can’t argue that it’s a great tasting cup of coffee.

    Decent coffee
Just like with other Whole Foods products I buy, this coffee was a decent quality and value, but not exceptional in any way. I usually buy whole beans so I can grind them when using for maximum freshness, but it’s useful to have a preground bag on hand for use in my Aeropress or when camping. These beans are medium-dark and seem a bit oily, but they brew up a flavorful cup of coffee without tasting too burnt. Perfectly average.

    fancy!
This coffee tastes really good! I normally drink just your basic breakfast blend type of medium roast in the mornings, black; but in the afternoons, I like to experiment with making a barista-level coffee drink or two for a little “pick me up.” This coffee is perfect for that. It’s a darker roast, and the caramel and chocolate notes make it a real treat. It tastes fancy! I like to add some vanilla sugar, frothed milk, and little salted caramel or chocolate syrup, and the result is a really fantastic coffee drink on par with what I’d get at the local coffee shop. I love that it’s organic, too. I feel like this is a good value for the quality, and of course, making it at home makes it an absolute bargain compared to coffee shop prices. I love it!

    Flavorful and good.
This coffee has an incredible aroma that fills the kitchen the moment I start brewing it, and the taste is just as good. I first tried it black, with no cream or sugar, which is how I like to drink my coffee before a workout. It gave me a nice boost of energy and helped me stay focused without feeling too strong or bitter. The flavor is smooth, with a nice balance that isn’t overwhelming.Later, I tried it with a splash of creamer, and it brought out even more richness, making for a really enjoyable cup. I used a Mr. Coffee maker and just added one scoop, and in about five minutes, I had a fresh, flavorful brew. Whether black or with creamer, this coffee delivers a great experience, and I can see myself making it part of my daily routine.
