Avevo già provato un altro distributore ad aghi senza grossi miglioramenti nella qualità del caffè, ma questo prodotto mi ha attirato l’attenzione per la sua forma ed eleganza che hanno portato a testarlo per verificare se i risultati fossero altrettanto buoni.Il kit arriva insieme ad un’altra serie di aghi che a differenza della descrizione risultano con uno spessore inferiore, molto più flessibili e quindi ho deciso di sostituirli poichè dalla precedente esperienza, uno spessore elevato sposta la polvere di caffè senza distribuirla in modo uniforme.Il montaggio è molto semplice e veloce e una volta inseriti gli aghi assumono una forma leggermente conica che ne aumenta il diametro finale a contatto con il filtro.Ottima la base di aggancio del distributore, con un buon peso e base di appoggio, così come il magnete che trattiene molto bene l’attrezzo.Messo alla prova, effettivamente con questo kit di aghi più sottili ho ottenuto una buona distribuzione del caffè in quanto scorrono molto bene nella polvere senza spostarla, rompendo eventuali grumi ottimizzandone il volume nel filtro.Il risultato finale è stato un leggero migliorato nella cremosità e corpo che sarebbe stato più difficile ottenere senza il distributore, pertanto complessivamente posso ritenermi soddisfatto.Il prezzo di circa 20€ non è tra quelli economici, ma vista la qualità ed eleganza del prodotto è i risultati ottenuti, ottiene un buon rapporto qualità/costo.

I ordered the six-needle espresso distribution stirring tool and stand by RSNMocha.The needles in the tool can be loaded or removed by simply unscrewing the top cap. The needles are not glued nor do they pass through material other than six small holes at the bottom circumference of the tool. The exposed needles do not wobble and flare out only a few degrees as they extend away from the tool. The tool comes ready to use with six needles installed. Six spare needles are included too. The tool appears to be aluminum, except for three small, embedded, magnetic bullets at the top. The tool is 23.5 grams with needles installed. Precisely machined to not depend on glue and being serviceable with no tools, the design is clever and durable.The needles look like acupuncture needles. They are coiled at the top (for hand holding), straight, flexible (spring back straight if pushed), and free of burrs on the end. I made my own (distribution tool with a 0.3 mm needle a year ago. The needles from RSNMocha appear to be very close to the same thickness, which agrees with the 0.25 mm diameter stated in the product description. The needles are 5 cm long along the straight shaft, not including the upper coil.Stirring the espresso powder in my Cafelat Robot basket with the tool is no problem. I can hold the tool where it is knurled and reach the bottom of the deep basket. After stirring deep, I stir at the middle depth and then the surface. Without a tap or other manipulation of the basket, I grasp the tamper with two fingers to press down on the powder. On my first use of the tool, espresso flow coalesced to a single stream within a couple seconds. I was thoroughly impressed.The included steel stand is just tall enough and wide enough to hold the tool with its needles pointing down. Yet the stand is small enough to hide safely behind other items on a kitchen counter so nobody bumps the needles when the tool is not in use. A tiny shelf near the top of the stand sticks to the magnetic bullets in the top of the tool. The stand barely shifts when the tool is brought close or pulled down and away.I tuck the stand under a power outlet where water kettles are always plugged in. That space is otherwise unused and the tool is easy to grab from the stand. Despite its seemingly trivial shape, the stand is highly practical. I think it is better than a needle cap that is prone to rolling away, and it can be used even after the tool has just been rinsed.The materials and thoughtful design of this product are excellent. Surprisingly, the tool length is adequate to stir powder in the unusually deep basket of a Cafelat Robot. In short, this product is solid and works well.
