Traditional cat box scoops are porous, and many are very flimsy. That’s fine for the solids (you know what I mean). However, the granules that didn’t clump run right through those scoops, leaving a stinking mess. So I’ve now combined this sturdy solid scoop with the old cat scoop and cleaning the cat box just became FAR easier and the house smells better! Thank you, thank you! This unit is sturdy, and I expect it will keep me happy for many years. Oh, the price was great!

Although the measurements were clearly posted in the product description, upon arrival it seems small. I intended to use the scoop for potting mix use, but now I may just use it for bird seed. Seems sturdy and durable enough. I doubt the bright yellow color will be easy to keep clean.

I use it to scoop manure, potting soil, etc., out of big bags I buy, or from a pile that’s been dumped out. My community has a get-it-yourself compost pickup location (beautiful light, fluffy, finished compost) and I use this scoop to fill my little buckets (I’m old and can’t handle larger containers so I just get a couple of 3-gallon buckets of compost at a time).As you can see from the reviews, lots of potential uses. Well made. I think you could scoop up rocks without it breaking.
