Not really impressed. The taste was dark and strong, but a bit on the bitter side. The beans seemed fresh and high in quality, and I suppose for an economy brand they weren’t terrible – just not my favorite in this price range. Your mileage may vary..

Normally a dark roast fan- now loving Verve âBuena Vistaâ ~ altho itâs more expensive and makes fewer cups than a bag of Peetâs.. Iâll buy once in awhile now that I know of it!

GOOD FOR 3 MONTHS………OK, FROM WHEN???
Based on some good reviews, I decided to try this coffee. When I got it, I immediately noticed there was no roasting date stamped on the package, whoa! However, there was a date indicating the coffee was good for roughly the next three months ………..ok. So, from the time I received it, it was actually a little over 3 months, from what was stamped on the bag, what if they actually roasted it 6 months ago? I called Verve and s/w one of their people, he said they determined their coffee beans were good for 3 months, but again, three months from when? As they saw on line, if you want good, fresh coffee, never buy it from a roaster who won’t put the roasting date on it. Even Peet’s in the grocery store has a roasting date stamped on every bag.NOTE: EVEN SAYING GOOD FOR THREE MONTHS IS AN EXCEEDINGLY LONG TIME FOR QUALITY FRESHNESS.

Balanced and fruity
Wanted to mix up my coffee selection so tried this one. I usually drink blue bottle bold. This is just different but enjoyable. Itâs better before any milk is added though. I used a single pour over method. I still prefer my bold coffee from blue bottle. I will try the bold next time from this brand.
