This kit did a fabulous job for my Moccamaster
There are two bottles of cleaning supplies in the box, one for descaling and one for cleaning the machine’s innards (oil residue and build up.) The directions are CLEAR and exact, easy to follow, and the machine’s tank and carafe looked like NEW when I was done.You decant the descaler liquid first in Step 1, then following directions, you will run three more tanks full of just water. Identical instructions for the cleaning fluid in Step 2, cleaning fluid, then three more tanks full of nothing but water. I actually ran four tanks in Step 2.I made a cup of freshly ground Ethiopian Sidamo coffee and it tasted GREAT. I knew it was time for a cleaning round; we all know when it’s time, it’s just that six to seven cycles of the coffee maker does take some commitment to the process. I had a project going on at the same time that allowed me to check on it and keep the steps going, but keep that in mind — it’s an EASY process, but can be time consuming. Don’t short cut it, it’s really not worth doing that. OTOH, it’s REALLY worth doing all of it as directed because your coffee will taste great again. JFYI: we have a Technovorm Moccamaster model coffee maker, and it’s incredible. If one can be “in love” with a machine, this would be it. Now, with the Urnex kit, it’s going to get the care and attention it deserves.

This product cleaned the build up on our coffee maker beautifully. We always use vinegar to clean our coffee maker on a regular basis but the build up of coffee oils was so bad that we were ready to replace it.Weâll absolutely purchase this product again.

What a difference!!!
After over 5 years of neglect, I decided to clean the stainless carafe of my coffee maker. After shearing much skin off both hands (small opening on the carafe) it was somewhat better. Decided to look for something pain-free. This product was perfect. The carafe looks brand new, the machine is descaled, and I’ll be a repeat customer.

Cleans way better than vinegar
Oh what a difference. We had been using either Durgol or vinegar in our Mochamaster coffeemaker each 100 brew cycles for over a year. We thought all was fine… Then, we were out of the other cleaner, and were tired of the smell of hot vinegar, and saw this and bought it. There was much that came out with the step 1 Descaler. Then we used the step 2 cleaner… and there were brown slimy bits that looked like they might below at the bottom of…a septic tank…? This is of course what we will be using in the future. It is a two step cleaning process, but easily done while you are doing something else in the kitchen.

I have a Moccamaster. I used this kit to clean and descale. I am amazed at how good of a job it did. It cleaned my insulated coffee pot during the process which was an added bonus. Easy to use and cost efficient. I will purchase this again.

It was my error in ordering this product. I wanted a multiuser bottle. This did clean and descale my OXO 8-cup coffee maker (excellent coffee maker), but was pricey for size.

The first photo is the result of using this cleaner and all the gunk that came out of the maker. I had previously used vinegar to clean my coffee maker, obviously that wasn’t enough.

Works great, definite difference in flavour of my coffee after cleaning. A little pricey to do it the reccommended amount but every 2 to 3 months is still acceptable without the coffee getting too bitter tasting. If you find your coffee isn’t as flavorful as it used to be this might be an option for you.
