Works well
I got this for those times I want to use my ground coffees instead of K cups. I have a cheapie Walmart single serve coffee maker, and while this does fit in the K cup, the coffee maker won’t close with it in there. It does, however, fit in the filter basket, and works fine that way. I was afraid this little thing would be hard to clean, but it’s not; it rinses out nicely and there are no sharp edges. Best of all, my coffee wasn’t crunchy and tasted great. 5 stars.

Better for the environment
This refillable K-cup has a good band around the inside of the top to keep the lid sealed. It is a high quality stainless steel with a good design and functions like you want for a reusable K-cup. I donât care for any of the pre-packaged K-cup coffee so I really appreciate this type of refillable pod. I can grind my favorite coffee beans right before brewing for a great cup of coffee at the strength I like. Itâs nice that Iâm creating less environmental waste, too.

Design issues
I already had a couple of plastic reusable pods, but this metal one sounded interesting so I ordered it. Unfortunately, I didn’t find that it worked that well. It does brew a cup of coffee, but it’s more difficult to use than the plastic pods. For one thing, the lid is not hinged like the plastic pods, so you have to handle it more carefully. There is a small rubber band that fits inside the lid, I assume for insulation. It is not attached so it comes off easily. When I pulled the lid off after brewing, the band fell into the coffee grounds and I had to fish it out. I think my plastic pods, which don’t have a rubber band, work much better than this one.

Best K-cup replacement yet!
I’ve had a K-cup habit for a long time now. I always feel a little guilty buying more because they are just going in the land-fill after a one-time use. I’ve tried many versions of a reusable K-cup including several that were made of plastic and ones that reused old K-cups (these were limited in reuse because they were just caps that would close the top of a used K-cup that you refilled once or twice). I’ve run in to several problems. The screen mesh can be two open, allowing grounds or fine powder into your brew. The screen mesh can get clogged over time. Several refillable K-cups I had just stopped working when I upgraded to a new Keurig – I guess they were not the right shape and the newer Keurig could detect something foreign.This reusable K-cup is different. It has a very fine mesh that keeps the grounds in the K-cup and not in your cup. It is made from stainless steel, so it should last a long time. And finally, it works in my newer Keurig.Nothing is perfect, however. There is still some sediment that gets through the fine mesh screen and this just means that a screen will never be as good as a paper filter, like what is used in the disposable K-cups. This is a trade-off that I’m willing to live with as I do not usually drain my cup of coffee. The screen mesh on this K-cup is very, very fine – more so than others that I’ve tried.This reusable K-cup has three parts, the lower body, a lid and a small gasket that seals the K-cup after you fill it with coffee. You have to be diligent about cleaning it after each use and that gasket could get easily lost or misplaced because it is small. Again, I’m willing to put up with this.I found that to get the strength of coffee I prefer I needed to almost fill the cup with drip-grind coffee. I’m not sure how the cost of using this reusable K-cup will compare overtime with using conventional K-cups. I’m thinking it is probably comparable in cost.

Great alternative to use instead of purchasing K-Cups!
My only complaint about this product is that I wish that the cap/cover was attached to the actual cup so you could just pop it open instead of it being 2 pieces – other than that this is a good buy!I ordered this because I am TIRED of spending a ton of money on k-cups instead of buying the coffee grounds in a canister. The brand that I like to use sells the k-cups for $42 for about 30 oz…if I purchase the grounds I pay $17 for 36 oz. Less than half the cost for more? Sign me up!It’s pretty easy to use and you can customize how much/little you want to use and determine the strength of your drink! It’s even easier to clean once you’re done.That’s probably the worst part of it – cleaning out the grounds when it’s finished since you’re so used to popping out the pod and throwing it away but using the reusable pod is better for the environment since it reduces waste.You can use it for more than just coffee too! I’ve made tea using the pod and it tasted great.Do yourself a favor and order this – in the long run it will save you money because you can buy the coffee grounds/loose tea in bulk. I’d opt for the 2 pack since it’s only $2 more than the single pod!

A Great Alternative to Disposable K Cups
The Universal reusable coffee pods, Suitable for k cups, Stainless steel reusable compatible with keurig 1.0 & 2.0 coffee machines brewers refillable is a great alternative to disposable K cups and you can roast your own coffee. I don’t actually use the Keurig coffee maker that often – maybe once a day at the most – but my wife uses it several times a day. I’m an espresso person myself. The waste from the K cups is horrendous. Over a billion a year (according to the inventor of the K cup) go to the dump and are not recyclable. They just sit there for hundreds of years. The refillable K cup is a excellent replacement for this environmental disaster. I have tried a couple of others but they were made of cheap plastic with a hinged top that broke off after a few dozen uses. I actually like having a separate top with a silicone seal. I prefer stainless steel for all my cooking needs and am pleased that this filter is made from that metal. It will last decades, at least. It is easy to fill and easy to clean. More importantly, it brews fine coffee. It is an excellent value for a filter replacement and should meet all your brewing needs for a long time.

O rings
They work well so far. My only concern is how well the rubber o rings will last. Lost one of the o rings a week after purchase, now they leak a little. They probably should have included extras.
