Glad I chose a hand-grinder over electric
I was wrestling with the decision to buy a burr grinder so I could enjoy great coffee. The electric versions with quality components and better performance were really pricey. My sister had given me a light-weight ceramic burr hand grinder to try and it took SIX minutes to grind a 24 oz. cup-worth of coffee.So I kept asking friends and watching reviews on Youtube while checking Amazon warehouse for a good deal on a great electric burr grinder. Then I saw reviews for hand-grinders. Dollar for dollar, the hand-grinders can provide a quality grinder of a fraction of the electric grinders. I valued that I would not have to give up an area in my kitchen for a bulky appliance or look at having a grinder that could quit working in just a few years.I went with a Timemore after learning that replacement parts are easy to purchase and the reviews were consistently favorable. I had thought about another popular brand that has a silicone collar but decided that enough people found over time the collar no longer stayed in place and made grinding more cumbersome. I like the texture of the metal surface that makes gripping the grinder firmly pleasant. The weight of the grinder and the smooth function of the bearings made me a believer. This is a quality piece of equipment that I enjoy using to get consistent grinds. The straight handle makes this a good grinder for both left and right-handed grinding. The flip-down handle means it does not take up a lot of room and you don’t have a separate handle to contend with.The wheel to adjust the grind works smoothly and provides a better way to fine-tune the grind for different roasts of coffee and various brewing methods. I mostly brew hot coffee in my Chemex and cold brew in my French press. I can easily find a grind that makes great coffee. Plus, grinding by hand doesn’t generate the heat like the high-speed grinding of an electric grinder–preserving the flavor of my favorite beans. If the price of electric grinders seems daunting and you don’t need to grind big batches of beans, a quality hand-grinder is definitely a way to enjoy burr grinding. Plus, it takes up a very small space in your kitchen. So happy I found this Timemore S3 grinder.

Simply Wow
Fit and finish is absolutely amazing. It has great weight and build quality. The base has a rubber pad to give that great sense of feel when setting it down. I got this exclusively for drip and it produced a very clean and tasty cup. I used to use a Sette 270 to make my drip and this grinder by far surpasses that grinder. Having the ability to change the grind size on the outside of the grinder is amazing, collapsible handle, great catch cup, and large capacity is amazing.I ground 33 grams in one one for for 2 cups of coffee in no time and minimal effort. I honestly wouldn’t mind doing large batches with this. Maybe because this is new, I would recommend spritzing beans with a bit water to combat static. Not a big issue as I used the excellently provided brush to clean the chafe off of the grinder and into my filter.Don’t sleep on this and get one.

Works with expresso i have a theory
I got the timore s3 and i got it for expresso. I got it in the green color. I was so scared beacuse i didnt see the reviews until i got it. Thankfully it was fine enough to grind expresso. The green one seems to be anodized so im thinking that the black one may be powder coated so its addining a few nano meters to the tolerance. I dont know for sure. I studied electrical engineering not mechanical so it makes sense to me at least with the limited skill set i have. Its just unproven theory at this point. I just noticed everyone who has been complaining about the particle size for some reason has it in the black finish. The finish on mine compared to the ones i see in the reviews look alot thiner. I have no way to tell for sure. It makes sense to me at least.This difference in finishes and its potential impact on grind size. Anodizing typically adds a very thin and uniform layer, which might explain why your green Timemore S3 works fine for espresso. Powder coating can be thicker and less consistent, possibly leading to the issues with particle size that others with the black finish are experiencing

Excellent grinder
This grinder is solidly built. It makes easy work of grinding coffee. The learning curve is short and did not take long to find the right setting for my use. My only gripe with this grinder is the mess it leaves on my counter. Static causes some coffee grounds to stick to the inside of the grinder. It can be a bother when youâre in a hurry in the morning. Have not found a suitable solution yet but Iâm sure that will come with further use.

I bought this after I gifted my Porlex to a friend. I was very happy with its ceramic burrs after many years struggling with Hario Skerton. I also tried Commandante. But this, this a killer. Can feel a bit pricey. Double the Porlex, but what a consistency. In Kruve sifter the particile irregularity was less than %3. Grip is perfect. Made from robust material. Feels heavy but that actually helps to perfect turnover during grinding movements. The arm is ergonomic. Fold is nice, they even put a tiny rubber to its hitting point to the body. The loader has a special swipe which helps to grind till last single coffee bean. The reservoir is screwed to body, which feels secure. It still fits into Aeropress but of course halfway is out. For me best grinder ever although for Espresso 1Zpresso would be a choice too. Very consistent grinder. It beats my Baratza Encore at home.

HomojenliÄi güzel ve farklı kahvelerde yaptıÄım öÄütmelerde zorlanma tolesransı c3âe göre biraz düÅüktü. Bıçak kalitesi güzel ancak CNC kesim olmasına raÄmen biraz deforme olmuÅtu. Yeni bıçak gönderildi. Ancak onda da ufak tefek mikron düzeyde hasarlar mevcuttu. Kahvenin homojenliÄi için önemli olduÄundan bence bu detaya dikkat edilmesi güzel olur.
