This is designed to sit on the edge of a counter and to provide some cushioning to your porta filter… it does the job just fine. It doesn’t eat much, no need to potty train, and hardly ever complains. No complaints here.

Thick and durable tamping mat
Protects my wood coffee bar surface from tamping with my flair hand espresso machine. I also use it for keeping moister off of my wood finish when I am brewing a pourover (even though that is a secondary use case).It is thick enough for all my needs and would be good in a coffee shop or for home use. Great price for me.

Great espresso prep mat
Thick durable easy-to-clean espresso mat.Previously grinds would get everywhere while I made my morning coffee. Also taping the portafilter on the counter was loud and I worried about chipping the counter or damage to the portafilter. So I started looking for a tamp mat. I ordered several mats to feel and compare. I kept this mat because it was the heaviest and thickest. The only downside was the front lip was too long, and when I opened the drawer it would catch the mat and pull it off the counter. So I trimmed 1/4″ off the front lip with an exacto knife and now it is perfect. The mat feels nice smooth but grinds stick to it. When I’m done I can walk over to the sink rise the mat, wipe it off, and it is good to go for the next shots to pull.

Great tamping mat with no logo
Great tamping mat, no logo, does the job. Does not get perfectly clean, but it gets dirty with every use so it’s not a problem.An added benefit is I use it in my undermount sink, reversed with long side downward, when I clean long handled pots and pans. I put it on the countertop edge to protect it and rest the pan handle on it when scrubbing.
