Good taste
We tried the pumpkin spice. My wife and I enjoyed the taste. Excellent flavor for a season but not so much for everyday use. We were pleasantly surprised and enjoy it for the fall. We purchased the whole bean and used a percolator to brew. Also had the opportunity to try the decaf and again, we were surprised by the quality of the flavor. It was hard to differentiate vs the caffeine version. I will say the best part of trying this coffee is the customer service. This is a great company and worth a try.

Ground vs whole bean pumpkin spice review
GROUND: Bought the pumpkin spice ground and love it so much – it was a perfect amount of spice without being overwhelming, or sweet. I personally donât enjoy the sweet pumpkin coffees as much. I have made it multiple ways – French press, pour over, coffee pot, overnight cold brew – and all are excellent. Have tried over a dozen brands of pumpkin spice coffee and this is my favorite (balanced coffee, not bitter or acidy, smooth to drink, excellent aroma and excellent spice flavor in the brewed coffee itself, and not overtly sweet at all). Goes great with a splash of creamer.WHOLE BEAN: after buying the ground pumpkin spice several times and loving it, we decided to try the whole bean pumpkin spice, as we here in our household love fresh grinding the beans for a super fresh cup. We ordered 2 bags of the whole bean pumpkin spice (after 3 bags of the ground pumpkin spice). Itâs like a totally different coffee – basically it just tastes like regular plain coffee. Itâs not bad – in fact I quite enjoy it as a regular coffee – it just doesnât have any of the pumpkin spice flavor that was in the ground. At first I thought we had maybe gotten the wrong batch, so I double checked the bag label and order. Then after several more tries, I opened the second bag – same thing. Just no spice flavor at all. It just tastes like regular coffee. Have tried it many ways – French press, pour over, coffee pot, overnight cold brew – and none have flavor of pumpkin spice at all. But again – itâs not bad! Itâs just a regular coffee (and a pretty decent cup at that). Just no spice flavor. Probably better off just getting the regular blend.SUMMARY: If you want an excellent balanced pumpkin spice flavor coffee…get the ground. The whole bean roast pumpkin spice does NOT have any spice flavor (but is a decent cup of coffee).

Love this coffee- great find!
I have been looking for decaf coffee beans to mix with regular coffee caffeinated coffee beans. Finally I have found it. These beans are great! They taste great and I now subscribed and save and receive them every month!!!I am getting older and having too much caffeine bothers me. So I put half decaf beans in my coffee maker and half caffeinated beans in and my coffee is perfect!!!

best decaf ever- until it stopped being decaf!
I’ve been getting the California Bean whole bean decaf for over a year. I would buy the two pound pack by going to my orders and hitting they buy again button. This was the absolute best decaf I had ever tried. I made the purchase every ten days. But with my last order, they changed the offerings on the page and when I hit buy it again, it took me to regular coffee and I didn’t notice and for 4 days I drank regular coffee and got sicker and more anxious and shakey and then I took my blood pressure and that’s what told me to double check the coffee. Caffeine spikes my blood pressure which is why I have to drink decaf. I notified Amazon and was able to get a 5 pound bag (since the two pound pack option didn’t seem to be available) and it was horrible, stale and undrinkable. I’ve read the other comments here and can only assume that the people leaving negative feedback on the decaf must have gotten stale coffee, because I’m a coffee freak and this to me was the best decaf I had ever had.But Amazon unfortunately can’t get it right and I can’t drink stale coffee. I bought some directly from the roaster but I also found a local roaster that makes decaf that isn’t French Roast (that seems to be common, all the local roasters where I used to live only made french roast decaf and I don’t like the pungency, which is also a problem with Starbucks) So I’m hoping I can stay stocked between buying direct from The Bean and using my local roaster, because even tho it saves money, I’m not going to buy coffee on Amazon anymore.I originally gave this product 4 stars because that’s what the product is, when its fresh. I’ve downgraded to one star because that’s what stale coffee deserves.update: I’ve been buying the decaf from the roaster, and over time, my blood pressure has gone up and other symptoms have returned. I tested a bag of decaf they sent me and it was not decaf. No wonder it tastes so good. This company is dishonest.

Vanilla Cinnamon… If you add those flavors yourself…
I was excited to try this and immediately disappointed when I cut open the bag. It smells like plain coffee with the slightest hint of cinnamon. OK, let’s brew some and see what happens… How bland. I used a large amount as I like my coffee very strong. When pouring from my press it looked dark and strong and I was very excited to taste it. When I took a sip I couldn’t believe how bland and weak the flavor was. The vanilla is non-existent and cinnamon was barely noticeable. I love trying all different coffees in varying price ranges and you can find better coffee in this price range at any supermarket. Unfortunately for me I purchased 4 more bags of coffee (2 Aloha Bean and 2 Le Bean) from this brand and I am not looking forward to trying those flavors either. ð¤·ââï¸
