Commercial quality at household price
Our local watering hole has these at the bar. They keep the glasswear clean and draining after washing. We have used foam kitchen mats for a while – they look pretty but get stained, dirty, and moldy if not washed frequently. So we decided to follow our local bar’s lead and get some bar mats.Thick, rimmed, rounded nubs. Commercial quality. Half the price they pay. No mold. Dry glasses, plates, and utensils. Yes, they are utilitarian black rubber. No, they don’t match the kitchen decor (actually, they do, as we just installed a black sink, but they didn’t…) but they are functional. And if you are sacrificing countertop space you want function, not decor.Why do bars and restaurants use these? Because they WORK. So get some. A pair, so when one is being cleaned the spare is on duty. 24/7/365. Your sink will thank you for this. And so may your spouse, which is a lot better.

Got these for a new home bar and they’re exactly what I wanted. Easy to clean, durable, look sharp, glasses sit stable on them. To clean them, I just slowly roll them under warm water to rinse, then lay them on a dish rack to dry.

Wish I brought one years ago.
This is a great mat, does a good job protecting the floor, good size for plenty of space for my chair to move around, and it creates no issues if my chair has to roll on and off. It basically does exactly what you wanted to do at a good price.

I bought this about two months ago and use it regularly. It sits on top of my mini bar and gets a decent amount of use. When I first took it out of the package, some of the rubber was warped from being folded in transit (and possibly while in the warehouse). It took a few weeks to work itself out, but the warping is no longer noticeable. All in all, it’s a good commercial-grade product, just like you’d find in your neighborhood bar. The size is good. The bottom surface is sticky enough to not slide around. Your shot glasses and barware won’t tip on the surface. Just a good product, and don’t sweat it if it’s warped when you unbox it.

These came delivered folded. So naturally, both have the bend in the middle. However, just leave them in the sun for a bit, and voila straighten out. Don’t have much else to say other than it does what it’s supposed to as a coffee mat. I have the espresso machine on top (to right half) and all the coffee accessories sitting on empty side after washing.For cleaning, I just rinse with warm water to get the milk and coffee grounds and stains off. Wipe the bottom dry and leave on counter for the rest to air dry. I’ve not put it in the dishwasher yet.
