There’s a pretty big gap that the tea can seep through when it’s closed. You’ll see that the hinge that connects the two hemispheres is just loosely put together.Great design but not so good in terms of actual function.

These are perfect for at home tea mixtures or loose leaf tea. They’re sturdy and have a double latch feature for extra seal and the strain holes are the perfect size so that there isn’t any loose herbs or leaves coming out of the holder. Works great for short and long term steeping, really simple to clean, and they’re the perfect size. (Right around the size of a golf ball.) overall I’m super satisfied, and they couldn’t be any cuter!
