Affordable, functional salt and pepper grinders
There are many salt and pepper grinders to choose from. The glass ones look beautiful, but have the danger of breaking and leaving glass shards in your food. Thus, I chose to go with wood, and this set was at a good price point, with good reviews. The ginders are well made, easy to fill, and not too tall or too short. The light brown / dark brown make it easy to tell them apart, without having to look for the letter S or P. I’m pleased with these grinders and hope they last.

UPDATE Sep 2021, 4 stars: I’ve been using these for over a year now, and I have to say that they’ve grown on me. The jamming problem fixed itself after the grinder wore in a bit, and I don’t have to tighten the metal screws much at all anymore. I can even change the coarseness now and it will actually stay where I put it. So, these do have some hang ups in the beginning, but after they’re “broken in” a bit, they’re actually pretty good grinders, and will last longer than you’d think.ORIGINAL, 3 stars: They’re okay. They look nice, and I love that there’s no plastic. That’s usually the first thing to break on other grinders. And I’m happy with the amount of salt and pepper that comes out of these, but that’s about it. The grinders tend to jam every so often. I just grind backwards for a second and it fixes itself. The metal screws on top to adjust the coarsness don’t do much except for come loose and fall off constantly. I have to tighten them every time I use the grinders, which defeats the purpose of being able to adjust the coarseness. Price wise, I don’t regret buying these. It was worth a shot, but I won’t be buying them again when these die.

Weâve been using these for nearly 5 years and theyâre fine. They do the job most of the time, but they jam often enough to be annoying. I also have tried to adjust the top so that it comes out more or less course, but see no difference. Overall, work fine, but donât expect all the bells and whistles
