Why does the lid always pop up by itself?
The cover was installed in the wrong way.
Correct way: grasp the lid by hand and rotate and press it into the tank.

Easy to clean, sturdy, and beautiful jars
I bought one of these jars initially, to see if I liked the design and have since bought two more. I have the 39 oz in Navy, the 59 oz in Turquoise, and the 28 oz in Gray. They are used to store coffee (59 oz), coffee filters (39 oz), and hot cocoa mix (28 oz) in a beverage area. All of the lids fit, except one that I canât get to stay all the way on (28 oz). I might try moving the silicone gasket around on the lid, but it doesnât seem to be a problem at the moment. As far as size goes, the 28 oz size isnât large enough to hold the contents of a 13.8 oz can of hot cocoa mix. The 59 oz size works well to hold coffee grounds. It fits around 20 oz of ground coffee, and it easily accommodates a cup for measuring.The ceramic is glossy and free of flaws and just looks nice in general. I havenât had any problems with cracks or chipping and have washed the jars in the dishwasher with no issues.

fluid ounces, SO different from dry ounces, pay attention
I bought this 16 oz canister to hold 14 ounces of instant coffee (did not even cross my mind to check what the ounces were for the canister…. liquid, much different!), lol, aside from that, there was also an issue with the lid. The ceramic canister is great, sturdy and the color was great; I chose Dark Turquoise, and it was not very dark, so I would assume that the regular turquoise is a very light blue. It came with 2 clear rubber gaskets. The wooden lid is not perfectly round on top. The part that sits inside, with the seal, is the same round shape, but the top part of the lid was cut in an odd shape, not totally round, uneven, not oblong. It was weird, visibly so, and I decided to return it. Outside of that off-shape on the lid, the canister was cute and sturdy. I am not sure that my review of the 28 oz canister made it through anywhere, so I added the photo here; that lid was much more round than the one on the 14 oz canister, quality control not great on these, but I still love them.

Lightweight lid, great seal
I keep my dogsâ dental sticks in here. I grab dog treats, cat treats, and dental sticks before bed each night. I had a container with a heavy lid, the lid broke. I got this to replace it and itâs wonderful. Holds as much as the bulky jar and it looks great. The lid needs a little twist, but itâs easy. Looks great on the counter.

Very pretty with clean lines, but.
Had to reorder a second smaller one as the first one broke while washing it. This could have happened because I washed as soon as I removed it from the box so the temperature change might have done it. And lids can sometimes be difficult. Not sure why there are two sealing rings with each canister. They are working fine for the doggie treats.
