Surprisingly nice
I really wasn’t expecting it to be anything of note, but this thing is sturdy and well built, very solid. I’m actually using it for spice grinding, which has worked well. Fyi: the upper container with the unground coffee/whatever is split into 3 sections, small enough a whole nutmeg won’t fit. The capacity is also on the small side, surely enough for a couple shots of espresso though. The bottom container screws on so you have to guess how much you’ve ground. I could see it being annoying to grind, unscrew, check, rescrew, grind, unscrew, check, etc. but the metal container feels good in a way you won’t get from a plastic clear container.

A very good hand grinder with consistent grinds.
We have a 1Zpro grinder which is used for making espresso drinks, and that is the standard for this comparison. For occasional use, I did not want to invest the cost of another 1Zpro in a second unit. My standard is the aforementioned grinder, which is an industry standard. This grinder is slightly smaller, with less capacity, yet it still grinds a sufficient amount for a single cup pour-over or pod/Keurig capsule use. The adjustment is fine and holds its setting well. The bearings rotate extremely smoothly and the wooden knob is quite comfortable in the hand. There are relatively few fines in the ground product, so that is a big plus. Grinding is smooth and consistent and one can sense immediately when SHB beans are being ground – quite sensitive. The chamber requires a few turns to remove, but not too many for convenience. A tap will empty out all but the tiniest of particles. I use canned “duster” to blow the the remainder of the powder out. I roast my own beans with a Gene Cafe roaster and this works excellently in combination with small batch roasting and tasting sessions. The only issue is that the wood knob popped off the handle once, but I simply snapped it back on and it has remained in place. The knurling around the main body is sufficient to maintain a good grip while grinding, but a rubber over-wrap (hint hint) would be even better. That said, I am delighted with this grinder. It shows every indication that it will be in service for quite some time. Very pleased.

Excellent coffee grinder in this price point
I never knew how expensive these were until I started searching for one. First of all, Iâll start by saying that this is a beautiful item, and I enjoy using it every time. Itâs built very nicely, and it feels very sturdy. The whole thing is made out of metal, no plastic! I use it to grind coffee to be prepared in Turkish coffee pot, so fine grind similar to espresso. So far, Iâm very happy with my purchase. Great value for the price.

Sturdy with a few flaws
This is a very good grinder FOR THE PRICE. It grinds well and uniformly, and feels sturdy. The lid, however, gets stuck and is difficult to remove. Hopefully, this problem will resolve with time. Moreover, the walnut knob came off during the first grind and it continues to be a nuisance. Lastly, the capacity is limited even for one clever dripper pour over. Again, for the price, this is decent purchase.

I bought this because my son in law showed me one. It was a much more expensive model. I found this inexpensive machine on Amazon and bought it. The quality has surpassed my greatest expectations. And of course it works perfectly. Highly recommended.

Disclaimer: This is my first coffee grinder, but I did a lot of research before I made my purchase and I cannot fathom what would be “nicer” about a more expensive model. The aluminum body and steel innards all feel very high quality. I primarily use this to grind for my French press and the difference over pre-ground is pleasantly noticeable.

Eigentlich auf der Suche nach einer elektrischen Mühle landete ich bei Sunya. Ein Produkt aus China, aber ein wahrlich europäisches Finish. Die ziemlich schwere Mühle liegt gut in der ( Männer- )Hand, macht einen wertigen Eindruck durch die Verschraubung, mit der Kurbel, mit dem dicken Knauf, mit dem satten Klicken der Mahlgradverstellung. Geriffelter Body, da rutscht nichts aus der Hand, nicht zu dünn, nicht zu dick, steht sie mattschwarz in schöner Proportion neben der Siebträgermaschine.
