Like the lush Indonesian island of its origin, this spicy decaffeinated coffee stands alone. Full-bodied with a smooth mouthfeel, lingering flavors of dried herbs and fresh earth, and almost no acidity. Our roasters love transforming these unpredictable beans from dark coral green to tiger-orange to a rich, oily mahogany, revealing bold flavors that many us of us can’t live without. Coffee from Sumatra is the foundation of our most treasured blends, and something we’ve been honored to share with you for four decades.

    This is NOT decaf.
It took me a while to realize why I suddenly have problems sleeping from time to time. It was only in the last couple days that I realized it was this “decaf” coffee. To be fair to it it is lower caffeine I don’t respond to it during the day like I do regular coffee. It doesn’t make me as jump as regular coffee does. But recently I realized that id does contain some caffeine. This stuff is NOT “decaf” as I understand it. Typically when I have decaf it does not materially affect my ability to sleep, but this stuff clearly does. Me drinking it would also explain some general irritability I was displaying the recently. So, does it taste good? Yes. I liked it. But I have to stop drinking it because it has too much caffeine for me.edit: I now think this has to have some regular coffee mixed in. Or maybe the decaf process partially failed? This is NOT decaf coffee. That is obvious.

Way better than Decaf should ever taste 🙂
I grind these beans on medium coarse and use a french press to make delicious decaf coffee. I don’t really speak coffee -lingo, but I have to say it’s robust.. It tastes great just as it is hot or iced, or with cream, honey or, MCT-oil.Starbucks has many great flavors. This one is my favorite.

    It’s Starbucks
It’s Starbucks – either you like their products or you don’t. With a burr grinder, the right grind setting for the brewer, the correct number of scoops and the right amount of water and temperature, it tastes smooth. The grind setting, number of scoops and amount of water are all subjective to one’s taste.

    Best decafe coffee
Best Decafe ever produced. So worried Starbucks may take this off the market. Cannot find it in any retail store. Love it!

    A joke.
I made three cups of coffee from these beans: 1 weak, 1 medium, 1 strong. The first two had essentially no taste. More like a distant memory of coffee than anything tasting like coffee. The strongest cup tasted like a “pretend” bold coffee but mainly it tasted like cigar butts. This was an utter waste of money. The day after trying this “coffee” I tried decaf made by “Four Barrel” which, while rather expensive, did taste much more like coffee. Actually pleasant to drink.
