Nice quality
Summary: Nice quality. Could be better.I give this a 5 star rating for meeting expectations. The craftsmanship is great. No flaws. Good design.I opted for the v2 design. I’m glad I did. I like the new handle design. The silicone grip easily slides off the handle for ease of cleaning as well as preventing melting when used on some stoves. Unfortunately, such detail was not updated when it came to the percolator knob on the lid. The percolator knob is still resin which means you can potentially melt the knob if used directly on a campfire.The quality is very nice, but the thickness of the steel used on the kettle could be thicker. When I read 18/8 steel construction, I’m assuming it’s on par with the gauge of steel used on my kitchen pots. This seems not the situation. You can flex the steel when squeezing kettle. A task I can not do with my other kitchen pots. However, even though I can easily flex the steel, it does hold form and seems good quality. Still, I would have preferred thicker steel used during construction. This kettle will certainly not survive being dropped or stepped on in harsh conditions. The spout can easily be dented if dropped on it’s side. That could have been improved if the spout had a rolled lip. Small details which may have made the kettle more rugged.That being said, I am impressed with the overall construction. It’s well made. It’s light weight for those who care about weight. I would have preferred a heavier kettle with stronger construction. No sharp edges including the non-rolled spout lip. The percolator knob is threaded, which is nice. It can be removed for easy cleaning. However I’m not sure if it’s a replaceable item or if the thread on the knob is a standard size such that it can be replaced with a glass knob.

Easy to use, coffee tastes great
Iâm really happy with this item. My coffee apparatus history went from drip makers to Keurig to French Press to the Stanley stovetop/campfire percolator. Like most, I had a Keurig, & was satisfied for a long time, but I started to feel the cost of pods was prohibitive, & I didnât like contributing the plastic to landfills. I changed to a French Press, but didnât like the inability to filter, & the messy cleanup. Now, with Stanleyâs stainless steel percolator, I was able to add unbleached biodegradable paper filters, which not only improves the quality, but it makes emptying the grounds from the basket, super easy. Now, I have the means to use the percolator on my stovetop, on top of a wood-stove, or on a campfire setting. Sadly, I couldnât convince my hubbie to do away with his Keurig, but, at least I have halved our landfill donation of plastic Keurig cups! AND yes, I tried the reusable pod inserts, but no matter how many times I tried the Keurig product, or alternative (supposedly) compatible reusable pod cups, they never worked easily, cleanly, or well. I much, much prefer the Stanley percolator, which has the silicon handle sleeve to protect from scalding, & the whole thing CAN go in the dishwasher, or be handwashed. âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸

Another great product from Stanley. Quality stainless materials. Simple design. Easy to clean. The removable silicone handle keeps the handle cool to the touch. And of course, it percolates great too.

The percolator works perfectly. I only leave it percolating a minute or two longer than what is recommended for my flavor preference. So far it has had no issues on a glass stove, only some weird sounds as it gets closer to boiling.

Iâm always checking rating before I buy anything and sometimes hold back when a one star is given on an item but overlooked some of the low rating on this one and Iâm sooooo glad! This came to me perfectly and it brews the best coffee I have ever had! I use it on my flattop kitchen stovetop and brew my expresso coffee and itâs amazing! Donât hold back on this oneâ¦BUY IT!

Perfect for camping
I’ll start by saying I’m very happy with the product, bought it for a camping trip and have used it a few times already and here are a few comments and things I liked:- The result is a very nice coffee.- I used it on my regular kitchen stove and using a small camping butane stove, and in both cases worked perfectly.- The process is relatively fast, I used it for a group of 10, and with two or three rounds of coffee making everyone had more than enough coffee with a few folks drinking more than once.- Smart design. It is quite easy to use and it’s not messy at all, much better than using normal coffee filters and a funnel.- With the small camping stove, the handle didn’t get hot, but in case it gets hot the silicon grip is a very good touch for safety.- Material seems to be good quality and design feels sturdy.- Finally, as a side note not related to the product itself but Amazon, this is the first time I’ve bought a product from Amazon Warehouse and the experience was very positive overall, the item came repackaged as indicated but in perfect condition.Overall I’m really pleased with my purchase in terms of the product and the customer experience with Amazon warehouse.

I like it because if I want to take it out car camping or fishing and have it on a open fire I can do it then use it back in the house so big thumbs up from me .
