I can attest to this actually keeping coffee hot for a full day. The lid is amazing too, no leaking and it actually easily comes apart so that itâs easy to clean. There are so many choices when it comes to hot beverage travel mugs but I always go back to Stanley. They stand by their warranty if you need it but likely that you wonât because the products are very reliable. This product doesnât compare to any other hot beverage travel mugs that I have every used. Iâve tried all the popular brands but Iâm back to Stanley. I have had some of their bigger thermos products my whole life and theyâre still working like day 1. You canât go wrong with this one.

Does what it says
After going through a few “leak-proof” containers, this one finally does what it says it does. I teach a Sunday school class and since I do a lot of talking, it’s nice to be able to take a swig or two during class. I was putting my drinking containers in my tote bag only to arrive at church with the bottom of my bag, and books, damp from spillage. I finally got tired of trying different ways to keep them upright for the drive to church to include putting a car’s cup holder in my back to try and stabilize it.I finally had enough and searched on Amazon. This one came up with glowing reviews. I’m not crazy about the color but it was available for immediate shipment so I got it in time for that Sunday. Of course the first thing I did was to fill it with water, secure the lid, and then proceeded to give it the inverted test. Not a drop. No seepage, no weepage, nothing. Just as dry as when it came out of the packing. I’ve been using it for a couple of months now and I test it every time before I put it in my tote and it passes the leak test every time.The lid’s mechanism is easy to disassemble and clean but make sure you put it back together correctly or you can forget the “no leak” claim! (Don’t ask me how I know this! LOL) I’m teasing. You’ll know immediately if it didn’t go back together correctly as the plunger button won’t seat. It’s a well-designed mechanism and should last for quite a while. Since I’m only gone for a few hours, I can’t comment on how long it keeps beverages cold, but there’s no discernible warming for the time I use it. I’m confident it’s thermal claims are reasonable.The design of the spout is likewise well thought out so that even while riding in a car, if you’re careful you won’t spill all over yourself. It doesn’t mean you can’t, but the deep U-shaped area around the plunder allows you to make a good seal with your mouth so that it won’t run out the sides–assuming you’re prudent with the angle of the cannister.If you want something to hold your drink that you can put in a backpack without worrying about spillage, this should do the trick.
