Keeps my tea hot!
I love my Stanley Classic Legendary Camp Mug! For point of reference, I use my Stanley mug everyday. It keeps my tea hot much longer than a typical ceramic coffee mug does. I’ve found that pre-warming my Stanley mug with hot water makes the mug work even better! I’ve quit using the included plastic lid as it kept my tea too hot for too long! Even without the lid my tea is often still surprisingly hot after 20 minutes. The mug gets washed in the dishwasher every day… sometimes a long cycle, sometimes a shorter cycle… and it still looks like new! The painted finish is much more durable than I expected. After several months of daily use there are no chips, scratches or worn spots in the finish. Great Stanley product. Would make a very nice gift!

Great for large, cold beverages!
I’m a fan of the Stanley mugs/thermoses…this is one of my favs. The green hammer-tone finish is the best imo. Super durable, smooth, and reminds me of my dad’s old work thermos. I mostly drink water with ice in this and I don’t use the top. I have big hands and can get three fingers through the handle. The handle is metal and flat, not a bulky plastic and I like it. It’s pretty easy to clean and feels like it’ll last a long time. It probably won’t fit in cup holders (just over 3.5inch diameter), but I have mine on my desk all the time. Wonderful!

Just a great mug
With the transparent plastic lid in place, this mug will keep your hot beverage hot for a few hours at least, and warm four hours or more, indoors. I have not used them for extended periods outdoors, nor have I used them with iced beverages. The inside is stainless steel, and the outside is a shiny light green colored enamel with a texture similar to their vacuum bottles, but several shades lighter than the standard Stanley green. We have a few other Stanley mugs- smaller, but the same construction- and have been quite pleased with them.

Easier to transport
I have 40 oz, 20 oz, and now this 12 oz Stanley cups. This is my favorite to bring to work for water or tea because it packs easily in a lunch bag and is very easy to clean. It retains heat for a long time and is high quality. The handle makes it easy to hold. The price is a little high. The spout is large enough to easily drink out of. It is not spill proof and does not seal, so be aware of that.

I use mine every day.
I don’t like that it does not fit any of my cupholders but that’s my only dislike.Keeps my hot drinks hot for a few hours. It’s easy to clean because there’s no moving breakable parts.I have other mugs that keep my drinks hot for longer but I never seem to get around to finishing them. This is the perfect blend of heat retention and drinking/ cleaning experience for me.Well done!

Perfect for my bed bound mom
I was looking for a cup that my 80+ year, bedridden mother could use that would keep her tea hot for a good length of time and not be so heavy that she couldnât hold it. This fit the bill. Itâs the perfect size and itâs easy for her to manage even when itâs full. We needed a cup that wasnât too tall because sometimes sheâs not fully upright in the bed and the taller cups donât work. The large handle on the side helps her grip it without joint pain. It keeps her tea hot for a long period of time and we donât have to keep re-warming her tea. Quite satisfied.

If I had to do it all over again…
I honestly waver between 2 and 4 stars on this one. I have been a long-time advocate of Stanley things (long before the stupid 40 oz tumbler fad that usurped HydroFlask’s school-age reign for overpriced water holders), and I think this is the first product from them that sort of underwhelmed me.Functionality-wise, it’s fine; it does what a thermally insulated camp mug should do, which is to keep warm beverages warmer than a styrofoam cup or ceramic mug. But I’m going to be picky and call out its perceived shortcomings.- the lid is all right, but it is not a thermal lid by any stretch of the imagination. It is a smoky-clear, single walled lid that basically prevents spills from sloshing, or from something as big as a bumblebee from getting in. It does not shut completely and is just held on via friction from the silicone ring.- it holds 12 ounces (more if you don’t use the lid), however it gives the perception of being almost oversized for how much it can hold. The top 1/3 inch or so is taken up by the lid.- some mugs just simply “feel good in the hand”, and to me this one doesn’t. Quality and craftsmanship are fine, but it just seems a little “off” for what it is. I have standard human adult male sized hands, and the handle wants to fit all 4 of my fingers, but it doesn’t quite do that comfortably. And using 3 fingers leaves sort of a gap. I find myself grabbing it like a standard cup and not using the handle, but due to the nature of the thermal insulation design, it’s a little wide to do that comfortably, either. Although I have been called out multiple times for being a massive drinkware snob, so this might not be a big deal for normal people.- it is larger than most standard cup holders.Really this mug just sort of makes me think of something where they told some engineers to design a thermal coffee mug, but none of those engineers have ever drank coffee before. Sort of like the opposite of their thermal travel french press, for example, which I think is an awesome product.Of course, all of these complaints are me being hyper-critical, but I am who I am, potential buyer, and maybe you’re a drinkware snob like me. If that is the case, I’d do some soul searching. But if not, or if you’re *really* on that Stanley train, then maybe this mug will do you fine.TL;DR – At the going price of around $23 at time of order, I was sort of non-plussed in regard to what the mug is (plus it shipped in an envelope as opposed to a box, so I’m happy it survived the trip without being dented). During the holiday season I have seen the price almost double, and unfortunately at that point it pretty much delves in to the realm of paying for a name. Granted, in my mind it is one of the better name brands out there, but still…On the positive side, the green hammertone looks and feels as nice as always, and it’s dishwasher safe which is a huge bonus.I’m going with 3 stars, “average, with no major benefits or shortcomings for its price range” at this point because even with my tirade of paying for the name, Stanley still does put out a lot of decent hardware IMO.. this design just didn’t cut it for me personally.
