Great fit for Rolls of 3D Printer Filament
Have been looking for a filament storage solution for a while now. Trying to find airtight containers to help them stay dry while also being able to identify without opening them up. A decent price was desirable, given how quickly it seems I am collecting different rolls of filament to try.
These are just about the perfect solution, so far.
These are just about the perfect size for airtight storage of your standard 1kg spools of 3D Printer Filament. I even managed to fit one of the spools in, box and all (see pic). The Flashforge box was just a bit too large, but the spool fit just fine. (It’s the clear sparkly filament on the left) Vacuum sealed bagged filament also fit – see the spool from Bambu on the right.
These are the typical sized spools you get with 1kg (or smaller) filament.
They are airtight seals, as described, with black rubber in the top section. The containers are not super rigid, nor are they extremely flimsy – hence the 4 star durability rating. I think they will be just fine for standard use.
I will need to see if I can pop in some rollers so I can use the filaments while boxed. There is some free play available – I am 95% certain it will be possible. Just need to add rollers and put in a small hole to run the filament through.
This was a 6 pack bought on sale and seems to be a pretty good deal, all things considered.

Perfect for storing 3D printer filaments
I bought a ton of these – 24 in total – along with some of the many available cheapo hygrometers here to store my 3D printer filaments. The heavy rubber seals, latching lids, stackability and good build quality make these perfect for keeping your filaments dry. Fit 1Kg Bambu and Sunlu spools perfectly so I have to imagine theyâd fit any brand with room to spare.

Storage Containers
These containers are absolutely perfect for storing standard 3D printer reels. Because they came in a 4-pack, it’s a great value. The ability to mark the type of filament on the top is an added bonus that makes differentiating the type of filament quick and easy. The clear sides are perfect for quickly seeing what color the filament is, and there’s plenty of room inside the container for Dessicant packages to keep the moisture at bay. Highly recommended!

Hard to open and pour
I got this to prevent my children from leaving the box open in the pantry and having it all go stale. It’s definitely working for that, but we are finding it’s nearly impossible to pour frosted mini wheats out of the opening. We have to take the whole lid off to get it out. And the kids sometimes struggle to get the lid back on.
