One cup and done, not worth it.
Returning! I bought this for camping and purchased the extra batteries as recommended, Dewalt batteries at that. Charged everything up tested it once at home and it worked. Recharged batteries for camping and it made one cup only and machine wouldn’t work. Swapped the batteries for a new one it wouldn’t work..waited 2 hours still didn’t work. Tried one more the next day and the machine only powers up but won’t brew. Not worth the hassle and money. I’ll stick to a percolator for coffee on the go.

Portable k-cup brewer that works off of Dewalt 20V batteries.
A few weeks ago our power was out for about half a day. I tried to run my current plug in k-cup brewers (2 of them) off my 300W inverter to make a cup of coffee. No bueno. Not enough juice. Could have used this back then! This brewer powers off of Dewalt 20V batteries, so you can run it during an outage, or camping or out at a job site. Works great. One star off because it doesnât come with an adapter/pigtail to still be able to plug into the wall. But as a standalone off the grid type device, this is great!

Tried 2, both junk.
Ordered one of these and it didn’t work. Filled the water tank, pushed the power button, then pushed the brew button. I heard the water pump come on for just a second, then it stopped. The heat element turned on, a puff of steam came out the front, then the unit just turned off with the brew led blinking orange.Tried a few more times and never got more than that little puff of steam.Amazon offered me a replacement so I tried again. Same thing. The water pump never pulls any water from the tank and I just get a single puff of steam and it shuts off.Not a battery problem. I have some of DeWalt’s largest batteries and they are still fully charged after I try making coffee, because it only runs long enough to make a single puff of steam before it shuts off.The “manual” that comes with this machine is worthless. It has zero instructions on how to operate the machine or what the blinking brew led means.

Second one I ordered. Still doesn’t work.
The first one I purchased would not make a cup of coffee, so I returned it and ordered a second one. When second one arrived it had the same problem.I discovered that a 20 volt 2 Amp hour battery is NOT enough power to brew a cup of coffee.Waiting for delivery of 20 volt 6 Amp batteries. Will update review when they arrive.UPDATE:Ordered a second machine and a set of 5 Amp. batteries.Still cannot get this machine to make a full cup of coffee. Dribbles out about 10% of the water and stops.Every time the same.Complete waste of my time & money.

Very temperamental.
First, it mostly, fits regular pods. They tend to be a little snug. Also, It needs a little modification to fit the “OneCup” pods (those are the compostable pods) Second, and the biggest problem, there is no explanation of what the indicator lights are trying to tell you, so be prepared to exhibit lots of patience, for a trial and error period. When it works, it works great! But when it dosent… well… patience is something I lack before my first cup.I did find that an “MSR Titanium 450ml” coffee cup is the perfect fit for the cup tray. One last thing. Don’t buy this unless you already have a bunch of DeWalt batteries. If you are going to get a battery for it. Get the 9 or 15Ah one.

Donât buy.
You are better off buying a portable battery pack and using your regular kitchen coffee maker. Must use one of the large fully charged dewalt batteries and you can only make like 2 cups of coffee with the one battery before the maker decides that the battery is too low to work despite it still have 3/4 of a battery. Slow, cheap looking, poor performance must run it 3 times to get a full cup. Easy to clean though. Versatility sucks unless you have multiple charged batteries.
