I own many SM products between myself and my kids. I have a large 40oz tumbler that was my go-to water bottle that I took everywhere. I wanted something a bit less bulky so I ordered this one on Black Friday. Such a good product for the price! Itâs slim, the color is nice and neutral, I can easily take it on the go with me and it doesnât leak (unless sideways – then water will leak through the straw). Itâs perfect for everyday use and keeps water cold, however I have not tried hot beverages in it so canât speak to it keeping drinks hot. I have yet to go wrong with a Simple Modern product. Love it.

Where has this been all my life?
I was looking for a travel tumbler and saw that this came with the two different lids! Perfect, as I drink coffee and also other beverages. This is a good size, the sip-lid is leak-proof and the straw-lid is nearly leak-proof, it’s not supposed to be of course, because it fits a straw but the way it’s designed with silicone around the straw, when I tipped it over it did not leak very much. The insulation is very good, I put ice in it and it still had ice hours later. This tumbler is perfect to drink my coffee in the morning, rinse it out, switch lids and drink any beverage I want throughout the day. Really happy I found this and highly recommend.

Really good, but what’s with the straws?
I bought this based on a Wirecutter recommendation. We all have our personal preferences for drinking bottles/cups. For this one, I was specifically looking for a water cup to leave in my car. So it had to hold a decent amount of water; fit in my odd cupholder location; be easy and secure to grab and drink from; keep my water cool; and use a straw so I could sip without taking my eyes from the road.I am happy to report that this cup does all of those things and does them with style. I got the teal ombre color and it is gorgeous.Things I love:*The tall, slim design fits my hand well*It looks great*The opening in the lid for the straw actually has a gasket. So while it might not be 100% leak proof, you can knock it over without spilling*It comes with a coffee lid as well. Has a snap closure. Looks like a pretty standard coffee lid, but I have not tested it*I didn’t care about Stanley-level-car-fire insulation levels; I just didn’t want to get a mouthful of hot water in the afternoon. On a hot day, this still had ice cubes after 5 or 6 hours in the car, and that’s enough for me!*The design is easy and straightforward to clean. It seems like it would not hold tastes/odors if you were switching back and forth between coffee and waterSo why did I take off a star? For me, the straw is what I wanted in the cup design, and I cannot believe how light and flimsy the straws are! Yes, you get two. But honestly they are not any sturdier than the straws you get at Starbucks. It just seems like they dropped the ball on such a basic element. And because my cup is taller to accommodate 24oz and still be slim, the sturdier reusable straws I have only stick out about an inch from the top. Not unusable, just not optimal.UPDATE: I can report that the outside gets uncomfortably hot if you have it in the direct sun for a while (I was sitting out on the deck reading on a hot day). I guess the good news is that there were still ice cubes rattling around inside, so that’s a testimony to the insulation. But I was startled when I reached over to grab it.

Essential Tumbler
This is a great tumblr that keeps ice cold all day and doesnât spill easily. The rubber stopper in the top keeps it from leaking. Because itâs metal it washes well

Awesome tumbler!
Tall. 24oz. Comes with two different lids and two long hard plastic straws. Keeps ice water cold for many hours (overnight). Easy to grip and should fit most car cup holders. You can place it on a table without fear of rings (even though I donât). Spill proof lids are a great surprise. Iâm buying a 2nd one and tossing my old ones!
