My little espresso maker vibrates on the counter a little. This helps the noise and keeps the down and grounds from really getting everywhere. But the silicone needs to be removed, grounds dumped, and cleaned at the sink. The grounds do not wipe off easily with a paper towel. Dry it if you have hard water or you will have spots.

Perfect fit for our coffee machine. I did not want an absorbent mat to have to wash and to stain and get stinky. This mat is all silicone and has a slightly raised rim to keep spills, leaks, and overflows on the mat. Just needs a wipe to clean.
