NO unsightly mess now! I was constantly wiping the entire area and even the floor because the coffee maker spit as it finished brewing. With this mat I can relax a little about the messes. All of the coffee mess is on the mat and not all over the counter or floors. Because it is black I am less obsessed about cleaning it all day long. I wait until everyone is finished for the day or do a quick wipe while waiting for my own beverage. This has surely reduced my frustrations about nobody cleaning up the splatters. This Works Pretty Well
I ordered this for a coffee bar area in our kitchen that we have been putting together. I need to start by saying that not long after it arrived, I found out that my wife ordered me a decorative one (with gnomes) that we are now using instead. With that said, this one worked pretty well while we were using it, and I am now trying to figure out where we can use it. It’s actually quite versatile and could be used for any number of purposes beyond a coffee station. The rubber material is very durable and thick but not cumbersome and you can tell that it will be able to stand up to a lot of wear and tear. The one thing that I do want to point out that is somewhat annoying at times is that there is a lip around the entire pad. This is actually more of a love-hate thing because it does keep liquids from spilling out onto the table or floor, but cleanup can be somewhat tedious without removing the coffee maker and anything else you have on it. The groves where the cups sit are also a spot where liquid can drip and get stuck in and if you simply rinse your cup for next time then it might be a bit dirty looking over time. With those points made, I do like this and think that it makes a good coffee mat and also could be used for a number of other household (or even shop) purposes.
